Power Croissant
Finally, some goddamn GAMEPLAY.
Susie, Chapter 3
The Power Croissant (JP: ちからのクロワッサン) is an item in the Desert Board of The Legend of Tenna in Deltarune. It is obtained from the ground to the east of the falling rocks room. It gives Susie's avatar HERO_AXE the ability to pull up weeds for POINTs, pick up and throw pots in order to remove them, pick up and throw bombs in order to destroy obstacles, and pick up and throw Ralsei's avatar HERO_SCARF to shield herself.
If Kris's avatar HERO_SWORD attempts to obtain the item before Susie's HERO_AXE does, the latter will steal the item away anyways. HERO_AXE automatically has the abilities of the Power Croissant in the Island Board, unused City Board, and other TV World game boards, even if the item was not actually collected in the Desert Board.
Each pulled weed in the Desert Board gives 5 POINTs.
When crossing the bridge with falling boulders, Susie's HERO_AXE will carry Ralsei's HERO_SCARF above her, shielding herself while leaving HERO_SCARF vulnerable to the boulders and taking damage. She can also throw HERO_SCARF at the cactus containing Lancer in order to dislodge him.
If the party lacks both Q's, Susie's HERO_AXE will throw a pot at Sphinx-Tenna when it is spoken to.
Susie will attempt and fail to steal the key once from the shop if it has not been purchased yet.
Most pulled weeds in the Island Board give 5 POINTs, but some weed spots are infinite and give 1 POINT with each pull. Blue flowers give 20 POINTs. Susie refuses to pull plants herself, so they can only be pulled while HERO_AXE is controlled by the player. These are most likely in place to give the player something to do while waiting for Susie to move HERO_SWORD to the next room.
The infinite-POINT weeds are at:
- The middle weed on the path at the top of the room with the triple Pippins battle. This is in the area to the right of the entrance to the Pippin's shop with the Pizza Deodorant (For Nerds). Starting from the upper-left, the weed is positioned on the tile at row 2, column 9.
- The top-left weed on the path outside the torn flower room. Starting from the upper-left, it is positioned on the tile at row 1, column 6.
- The top-right weed of the torn flower room. Starting from the upper-left, it is positioned on the tile at row 2, column 11.
- The topmost left weed directly next to the water in the conch room. Starting from the upper-left, it is positioned on the tile at row 2, column 3.
Susie's HERO_AXE carries Ralsei's HERO_SCARF above her in a river section where a Sniper attacks, but because only Kris's HERO_SWORD can be hurt by the Shadowguys, the HERO_SCARF's protection is redundant here.
Like in the Desert Board, when crossing the bridge with falling boulders overlooking the Statue of Tenna, Susie's HERO_AXE will carry Ralsei's HERO_SCARF above her as a shield, leaving HERO_SCARF vulnerable to damage.
Each pulled weed in the City Board gives 5 POINTs. After Susie pulls a total of four weeds, she stops and has a short conversation with Tenna, though the contents of the conversation are empty due to the board's game programming being unfinished. Without warning, all of the weeds in the board vanish. Cut dialogue indicates that Susie complains to Tenna that there is too much grass, then Tenna makes a bad pun and directs Mike to get rid of all the grass.[1]
- Susie's character obtaining the Power Croissant in the Desert Board
- The Power Croissant is a reference to the Power Bracelet from The Legend of Zelda, which looks like a croissant. It is also mechanically a reference to Super Mario Bros. 2, as weeds can be pulled.
- The Power Croissant doubles as a reference to the croissant sold by Muffet in Undertale, which is briefly mistaken for a powerful bracelet.[2] This was also a reference to The Legend of Zelda.

Tenna: ENOUGH grass???
Tenna: Haha, how could you be tired of TV-TROPOLIS'S special MONEY LAWN-dering services!? Haha!
Tenna: Mike, kill the grass. - ↑

(Wait.) (It's just a croissant...)
