City Board
Today's board will take place in beautiful TV CITY...
Tenna, Chapter 3
The City Board[1] (JP: 街のパーク City Park), also known as TV City[2] and TV-tropolis,[3] is an unused board for the The Legend of Tenna minigame in Chapter 3 of Deltarune. Tenna mentions this board at the start of the bonus round of TV Time before Susie interrupts him.
While the City Board's music, dialogues, and scripts are mostly functional,[4] the board was cut due to the development team feeling that it made the Chapter too long and would disrupt the pacing of the game as a whole.[5]
Despite being inaccessible in-game, an alternate version of the City Board is playable as the beginning section of Board 3 in the Sword Route.
- Power Croissant
- Pippins
The City Board starts in front of TV Tower of TV-tropolis, which requires 2 Q's to enter. One of the Q's is held by the shy quiz vortex, while the other is held by the water quiz vortex. After using the 2 Q's to enter TV Tower and going to the right, the party discovers that the elevator does not work, and the only way to go up is by using the stairs. They find the staircase entrance in a room to the right of the elevator, but it is locked behind another set of 2 Q's.
Tenna says that the door is not supposed to require 2 Q's and tells Mike to fix it. The door dramatically increases in size, and Tenna reveals that 20 Q's are actually necessary to open the door,[6] and that 20 more districts with quizzes have been unlocked, and after conquering all of them, the party can open the door and hunt for the elevator card in the tower's 100 floors.[7] Upon hearing this, Susie decides to throw yogurt at her controller, triggering a Yogurt Emergency, which causes the game to end. Tenna cuts to commercial break and tasks the party with taking their controllers to the Green Room in order to clean them off.[8] The party leaves the gaming room, and Susie and Ralsei head to the scrapped backstage area, while Kris is left in the Green Room until the player chooses to go.[9][10] During this time, the player could go back to the S-Rank room and the Sword Route could be completed.[11] Backstage, Susie and Ralsei would rejoin the party,[10] and they would traverse the area to solve several puzzles and fight Rouxls Kaard in order to obtain the Mooncloud Key Card.[12]
When the party returns to the gaming room, Tenna is relieved that he can stop having the "WORM commercial" aired on repeat.[13] If the Sword Route was not completed, Susie plugs the party's controllers back into the game console, but discreetly switches her controller with Kris's. The party respawns into The Legend of Tenna, and Susie promptly leads HERO_SWORD left into the room containing the elevator. She uses the key card in order to open the elevator and leads the party inside of it. Tenna is surprised but also amazed that the party has the key card.[14] The elevator has a similar appearance to the one in Card Castle, and leads to a room with a door locked by a giant keyhole. Using HERO_AXE, the player throws either the key lying on the ground or HERO_SCARF into the keyhole, triggering the start of the Monster Movie physical challenge.
If the Sword Route was completed, Tenna tells Mike to turn the game back on, but it fails the first time. The second time it turns back on, but there are no characters, making it unplayable. The board would then be ended prematurely, with the party skipping the Monster Movie physical challenge and instead going back to the main stage.[11]
The commercial district contains a shop run by Lancer, where Kris can obtain a camera and Lancer for free, while a Pippins begs for help for 100 POINTs. If Kris "helps" the Pippins, it will call them a sucker and leave. The Lancer shopkeeper can also be picked up, getting two Lancers in the inventory. The Tenna NPC says "Feast your wallets on our bustling commercial district!", the same dialogue as the real Tenna.
The shy quiz vortex is found in southeast of the commercial district and will run away from the party. It is frozen in place with the camera in order to remove its legs.

The first room of the cactus field contains a battle with a Shadowguy and two Pippinses, as well as an overworld Pippins with no completed dialogue. The second room has more cacti and another Pippins. A photo of the shy, pushable cactus can be taken, revealing blush marks on it. Pushing it gives access to the water quiz vortex.
The water quiz vortex is found by traversing a room accessed by pushing the cactus at the cactus field. The questions about Asgore's favorite cancelled cowboy puppet show may be a reference to Toy Story 2.

The pier has several docks to navigate the water. The only raft is obtained after completing the water quiz vortex. It connects the water from the quiz area to the west of the cactus field.
The "entertainment district" is only a hallway with a Tenna NPC welcoming the party to the district. When Susie points this out, the Tenna NPC cannot come up with an excuse, saying, "OKAY MAN EVEN I HAVE TROUBLE DEFENDING THIS ONE", before the real Tenna deletes him from the game.
TV Tower[15] (JP: TVタワー)[16] is accessed after providing two Q's to break through the entrance doors.
The room to the left of the entrance is a miniature version of the TV Time room where the player selects Kris's name. This room has no dialogue.
The room to the right of the entrance has an elevator that is locked by the Mooncloud Key Card and a red obstacle that gets removed after interacting with the elevator, leading to another room which contains the door to the stairs. The door is initially locked and needs 2 Q's, but after interacting with it, Tenna expands the door and says it needs 20 Q's instead.
After obtaining the Mooncloud Key Card from the Green Room's scrapped backstage area, the party can take the elevator and eventually reach the Monster Movie minigame.

If each chapter is too long, it will affect the pacing of Deltarune as a whole, so it’s very important to pay attention to this point." - Toby Fox
