POINT
POINTs can be exchanged for goods and services.
Ralsei, Chapter 3
POINTs (JP: ポイント) (PTs) are the currency used in TV World in Chapter 3 of Deltarune. While several NPCs state how they replace Dark Dollars in TV World, they are used interchangeably and can usually be exchanged in the Green Room.
POINTs, like Dark Dollars, can be used to purchase goods from vendors in TV World. Vendors in the Green Room, as well as within separate TV boards, allow the party to exchange their POINTs for either in-game goods or Dark World items. One Pippins in the red carpet hall also allows the party to purchase a counterfeit S-rank for 1500 POINTs. Another Pippins in the A-rank room sells access to the Monster Movie minigame for 500 POINTs. Inserting POINTs into the ball machine gives a random prize.
One Pippins during the pre-show gives the party the opportunity to trade their Dark Dollars for TV Dinners, while stating that Dark Dollars are not a useful currency in TV World. However, Dark Dollars can still be traded for goods, primarily in the Green Room, where several vending machines allow either exchanging Dark Dollars for POINTs, or just buying items from them using Dark Dollars. Near the end of Chapter 3, one vending machine states that POINTs have devalued, and therefore payments are only accepted in Dark Dollars.
Spending 150 POINTs to use Bribe ACT on a Pippins instantly spares it.
If the party is defeated in The Legend of Tenna, instead of a Game Over, Tenna penalizes the party by deducting POINTs.
During a gag, Tenna docks the party's POINTs if they wait too long while riding a raft one screen below the waterfall base screen of the Island Board. The party can spend 10 POINTs to use a pair of binoculars to look at Atlantis Stadium.
POINTs can be acquired through various means:
- Various chests and trash cans throughout TV World.
- The Legend of Tenna.
- Cooking Show during Board 1.
- Rock Video during Board 2.
- A vending machine in the S-rank changing room allows exchanging Dark Dollars for POINTs.
- 200 POINTs can be found in the crater left after battling a Watercooler in the Green Room.
- 50, 100, 200, or 101 POINTs can be pulled from the ball machine.
- Cowboy minigame.
- Digging X spots in the TV console of the room with LancerCons.
- Destroying all 18 tiny houses in the Monster Movie set in TV World awards 1 POINT.
- Sneaking sections provide 1 POINT for each spotlight passed.
- Prior to solving it, plucking the plants in the TV console of the Shadowguy hallways containing the Susie bridge puzzle.
- Four individual POINTs are lying on the ground of the Bonus Zone.
The best exchange rate for getting Dark Dollars can be obtained by purchasing TVSlops from the Star Changing Room vending machine for 20 POINTs each, then selling them in the ABC-Rank rewards room for 90 D$ each (converting 1 PT into 4.5 D$). This is in contrast to the "intended" vending machine for getting rid of POINTs at the end of the Chapter, which can only convert 1 PT into 1.5 D$ at best.
- If Kris does not have access to the Star Changing Room, the best exchange rate is by purchasing GingerGuards from the Green Room vending machine for 111 POINTs each, then selling them for 431 D$ each (converting 1 PT into ~3.88 D$).
- After "devaluation", if Kris does not have access to the Star Changing Room, the best exchange rate is by purchasing FlexScarves from the red carpet hall vending machine for 80 POINTs each, then selling them for 310 D$ each (converting 1 PT into ~3.87 D$).
When receiving POINTs from the ball machine, or the chest in the Watercooler room, the chest accessible by solving the Susie bridge puzzle, or the 1 POINT chest located near a spotlight, if the party has more than 9999 POINTs the amount of POINTs will be set to 9999. This is exclusive to these sources and obtaining more than 9999 POINTs can be done via other means.
500 POINTs can be found in a wardrobe near the start of Chapter 5's Dark World, though they are obviously useless outside of TV World, and are not added to the party's inventory in any way.
POINTs were revealed in a post by the official UNDERTALE / DELTARUNE Twitter account, where Kris opens a chest and receives 10 POINTs.[1]
- Obtaining 10 POINTs from a treasure chest in the couch cliffs
- Obtaining 200 POINTs from the Watercooler crater

- Obtaining 50 POINTs from a trash can
- Obtaining 300 POINTs from a treasure chest
- 4 POINTs lying on the ground and 3 treasure chests containing 10 POINTs each

- The use of POINTS being restricted to TV World and their devaluation as Tenna's rulership breaks down seem to imply that POINTs are a fiat currency, presumably backed by Tenna himself.
- In a Chapter 3 save file, the held number of POINTs is located at line 1597.
