Spookysword

The Spookysword (JP: スケアソード Scare Sword) is a sword-type weapon in Chapter 1 of Deltarune. It can be bought in Seam's shop for 200 D$. It can only be equipped by Kris, and it gives +2 AT and the purely cosmetic Spookiness UP ability.

The Halloween Pencil (JP: ハロウィンエンピツ) is a Light World item. It is equipped to Kris in the Light World after they leave the Dark World with the Spookysword equipped. It grants 1 AT.

Outside of Deltarune

Halloween Pencil from "Get in the Car, Loser!"

In a DLC for the game Get in the Car Loser!, the Halloween Pencil appears as a guest item provided by Toby Fox. It gives a stat for "Determination" and has an appearance that matches the Halloween Pencil's flavor text in Deltarune.

When upgraded, the item gives snippets of "a story from another world", where someone, implied to be Susie, would borrow the pencil from Kris at class, gnaw on it, and give it back, a strange act that started their friendship. It is also described that the pencil is "short now, but that just means it's harder to break" and "if you close your eyes and hold it, it's a sword that will protect you from anything".
