Queen before the GIGA Queen fight, Chapter 2

The Cyber World (JP: サイバーワールド) is the Dark World located in the library's computer lab in Hometown. It is the primary setting of Chapter 2 of Deltarune.

Main story

History

According to Queen, the Cyber World was created when the Knight created the Dark Fountain within the library, the same day that Kris and Susie visited it. However, the Darkners inhabiting it have memories of the world before this point in time, including remembering Lightners' interactions with their Light World counterparts. Additionally, King and Queen both seem to be acquainted with each other, despite King being imprisoned at Castle Town for the entire duration of the Cyber World's existence from the Light World's point of view. Seam also seems to recognize Queen after her arrival in Castle Town, which further supports this connection.

Shortly before Kris and Susie's arrival, Queen had seized control of the Cyber World.

Chapter 2

Kris and Susie go to the library to work on their group project. Upon opening the door to the computer lab, however, they discover that the room is now a Dark World. Excited to explore a new Dark World, Kris and Susie jump in. Inside, they discover that Noelle, who had been studying in the computer lab, has also fallen into this Dark World. She is quickly captured by Queen, who reveals herself to the party before leaving with Noelle in tow.

Shortly after Kris and Susie's arrival, Ralsei appears, having traveled to the new Dark World. The three of them journey through the Cyber World together, dealing with multiple obstacles created by Queen, including an arcade game, and a confrontation on the roller coaster that connects Cyber Field to Cyber City. When her attempt to use Noelle to attack the heroes on the roller coaster fails, Queen sends in Berdly, who was also studying in the computer lab and is willingly working with her to create his ideal world.

After crash landing in Cyber City, the party splits up and Kris reunites with Noelle, who accompanies them through the back alleys of the city while trying to avoid Queen. Shortly after the party reunites, they all get captured and imprisoned in Queen's Mansion.

The party brings Lancer and Rouxls Kaard (and possibly Starwalker) to the Cyber World from Card Kingdom. However, because they are not native to this Dark World and thus are incompatible with it, the former two turn to stone after some time, generally during the party's exploration of Queen's Mansion.

At the top of her mansion, Queen reveals that she is aware of the Cyber World's creation by the Knight and laments that the Cyber World is confined within the library as a result. Since any Lightner with enough determination can make a Dark Fountain, Queen reveals that she plans to use Noelle to create Dark Fountains all across the world in order to free the Cyber World of its bounds and allow her to help Lightners everywhere in her own twisted way.

Following the Thrash Machine's battle against GIGA Queen, Ralsei explains to Queen that her plan would bring about the Roaring, a cataclysmic event brought about by an excess of Dark Fountains. Queen, unaware of this, aborts her plan and allows Kris to seal the library Fountain.

After Kris seals the Dark Fountain, the four Lightners awaken in the library's computer lab. After everyone else leaves, Kris gathers all the items from the lab, and takes them to the school's supply closet. This allows all the residents of the Cyber World to come to Castle Town.

Chapter 5

Cyber World is mentioned in one of the sets of Asgore's conspiracy papers in Flower Kingdom. According to Asgore, the Black Shard he found at the Cyber World’s fountain matches the Black Shard found at the unknown fountain from many years ago.

The Cyber World is divided into three main subareas.

Cyber Field

Cyber Field

Cyber Field is the first area that Kris, Susie and Ralsei arrive in. It is a green-paletted path where Cyber City can be seen from a distance. Cyber Field consists of slightly branching paths, Sweet's bullet paths, keyboard puzzles, and teacup rides. Along the way, the party find the rebels, Sweet Cap'n Cakes. Susie and Ralsei learn their S/R-Actions through the encounter. At the upper northeast section is a rollercoaster segment, where the party encounters Berdly.

Cyber City

Cyber City

Cyber City is a robust city with Electro-Dasher cars going through many of the city roads, and it partially acts as a carnival. It is a blue-paletted city with colorful levitating advertisements, and various Addisons appear to offer their wares. Cyber City has a trash zone, multiple stoplight puzzles, Annoying Mouse Rooms, and cheese, which was left behind by Swatchlings. Far right end of the city is the Heights, which is a linear under construction segment where the party crosses structural steel.

Queen's Mansion

Queen's Mansion

Queen's Mansion is located at the far-right of Cyber City. It is a blue-paletted three-floor mansion, which houses GIGA Queen at its center. Exiting and entering this area can only be done via a shortcut door. The first floor features Queen's portraits that spew fire, Swatch's Color Cafe shop, and the Guest Hall, where Kris, Susie and Berdly are temporarily held captive. The second floor has assorted platters and guests attending. The third floor is nearly entirely centered around the Acid Tunnel, where Kris and Ralsei cross atop a swan boat. At the rooftop is Noelle's room, and where the party can confront Queen.
