The sword (JP: 剣) is an item obtainable in the Original Game during the Sword Route. On each board, the sword is found in chambers that were repurposed for The Legend of Tenna.
- On the Desert Board, the sword is found in the equivalent of The Legend of Tenna's Secret Mailroom.
- On the Island Board, the sword is found in the equivalent of The Legend of Tenna's Kodakoda Shrine.
- On the City Board, the sword is found in the equivalent of The Legend of Tenna's entertainment district.
Obtaining the sword allows HERO_SWORD to kill the enemies on the board, becoming stronger in the process. On the board HUD, a sword icon appears on the right, with more appearing as HERO_SWORD's LV increases. The sword can also be slashed at a candy to pick it up.
If Kris had progressed the Sword Route past the Desert Board, the sword remains available to use in the parental lock rooms. This allows Kris to bypass the intended puzzles and obtain the passcodes without the use of Susie's or Ralsei's characters.
