The LightCandy (JP: ライトキャンディ) is a consumable acquired in Chapter 2 of Deltarune. It restores 120 HP.
It can only be obtained by using a Completion FILE where Kris spoke to Noelle about Susie in Hometown during Chapter 1. In the console versions of Deltarune, Kris always receives the LightCandy if a Chapter 2 Completion FILE is present, regardless of whether a Chapter 1 Completion FILE exists or was used.[2] (In the 2021 Switch demo, the requirement to obtain the LightCandy is instead that a Chapter 1 Completion FILE is present, regardless of its contents.)
In school, Noelle gives a lunchbox filled with chalk to Susie. After Noelle leaves, Susie lets Kris hold onto the Chalk.[1] Afterwards, the Chalk turns into LightCandy when the two enter the Dark World. When returning to the Light World, it is a part of the Ball of Junk. If Kris's Dark World inventory is full (i.e. Kris had a full inventory at the end of Chapter 1 and had discarded the Manual), the LightCandy is instead sent to Storage.
If Kris goes back to sleep at the start of the Chapter post Chapter 2's completion, it causes the above cutscene to be skipped, making the LightCandy unobtainable even if Kris has fulfilled the requirements to obtain it.

- If Kris responds with "Eats Chalk" in Chapter 1, Noelle alludes to gifting the item.[3]

Reason: PS4 Chapter 1&2 Demo and paid release for PS4, PS5, and Switch 2 needs to be checked for Chapter 1 on a new account. This can be done by skipping talking to Noelle in Chapter 1 to verify if the LightCandy can be obtained normally or if a Chapter 2 Completion FILE is needed. Code references:[4][5]
