Darker Candy

The Darker Candy (JP: DDキャンディ DD Candy) is a consumable in Chapter 4 of Deltarune. It replaces all existing Dark Candy. It can be acquired from various sources:

• Starting Chapter 4 from a Chapter 3 Completion FILE with a Dark Candy in the inventory.
• Purchased for 240 D$ from Seam in Castle Town if fewer than 9 Darkners were recruited during Chapter 2, starting in Chapter 4; or for 250 D$ otherwise, starting in Chapter 5.
• Taken from a candy bowl in the Dark Sanctuary.
• Stolen off a Mizzle via the Embezzle ACT.
• Found inside a chest in the waterfall room of the 2nd Sanctuary if 1 to 99 D$ were donated in the money fountain of the Dark Sanctuary.

When Darker Candy is used, it restores 120 HP.

Trivia

• In the Japanese text, the Dark Sanctuary candy bowl specifically refers to this item as the ダークダークキャンディ ("Dark Dark Candy"), instead of being shortened to DDキャンディ ("DD Candy") as in all other instances.
• The look of the pillar as well as the fact that the bowl spills onto the floor when trying to collect too many Darker Candies is a reference to Undertale's Monster Candy item.
