Lancer's sign, Chapter 1

The Dark Candy (JP: ダークキャンディ) is a consumable in Deltarune. It restores 40 HP and can be found on Dark Candy trees found in the Field in Chapter 1. It can also be bought at Seam's shop for 40 D$, or found in a trash can in Cyber City's Trash Zone in Chapter 2.

In Chapter 4, any Dark Candy turns into Darker Candy.

Additional uses

Picking any Dark Candy from the Dark Candy trees in Field and in Cyber City transfers to later Chapters via Completion FILE. The following occur if any Dark Candy was obtained:

• The Ball of Junk's Light World inventory Check description changes if one is in the inventory.
• In Chapter 4, Susie can notice Kris has "smellable stickers" in their pocket during Catty's sermon in the church, and they put stickers on each other. This causes the AncientSweet to be unobtainable.

• King forbids Lancer from eating Dark Candy, likely because it is bad for his teeth.
• Dark Candy is the only infinitely-purchasable item that does not sell for half its price.
• According to game strings, a beta version of Dark Candy once existed that healed 60 HP.
