Scarlixir

From Deltarune Wiki

The Scarlixir (JP: スカーレッティー Scarletea) is a consumable in Chapter 4 of Deltarune. It is purchased from the Old Man's Study, conjured from a strange spring in the 3rd Sanctuary, and can be obtained through chests throughout the Dark Sanctuaries, stolen from Mizzle via the Embezzle ACT, or found inside a chest in the waterfall room of the 2nd Sanctuary if 100 to 499 D$ were donated in the Dark Sanctuary. It heals 160 HP to Kris, Susie, and Ralsei. If used on Noelle, it heals 155 HP to Noelle and 5 HP to Kris. It is unaffected by BlueRibbon's healing boost effect, unless used on Noelle.[1]

In Chapter 5, a Scarlixir can be fused with a PowerBand to create a PunchBowl. A Scarlixir can also be fused with the MysticBand to create a TensionMax.

Flavor text

  • Hell yeah! Cheers! [When using it on Susie]
  • Y-yuck! Er, mmm, medicine? [When using it on Ralsei]
  • ... fine, you can have the LAST DROP. [When using it on Noelle; unused]

Trivia

  • Scarlixir is a portmanteau of "scarlet" and "elixir", with the former being the color of the fruit juice and its mix likely housed in the church, and the latter being a common term to refer to a magical potion or medicine of some kind.
    • This may be why Ralsei refers to it as medicine, disliking the taste.
  • It is possible that the inclusion of two items within the same Chapter containing the word "scarlet" and "rhapsody" may be a reference to the 10.5th installment in the Touhou Project series, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.
  • Scarlixir used to be misspelled when using the Embezzle ACT against Mizzle enemies. This was fixed in version 1.03.[2]
  • From Noelle's flavor text and due to the fact Kris is healed 5 HP from the last drop, it can be inferred that there are 32 drops in a Scarlixir.
