Ball of Junk
The Ball of Junk (JP: ゴミのかたまり) is a Light World item that Kris has in Hometown. Kris does not have it at the start of Chapter 1 or upon starting Chapter 2 without a Completion FILE.
In Chapters 1 and 2, it can be found in Kris's Light World inventory after they return from the Dark World. In Chapter 4, Kris has the Ball of Junk by default.
The ball represents Kris's Dark World inventory. If it is thrown away, the entire Dark World inventory, excluding equipped items and Key Items, is discarded.[1] It is created any time Kris exits the Dark World if one is not in their Light World inventory, even if there are no items in their Dark World inventory.

- As of version 1.04, the Ball of Junk cannot be discarded during Chapter 4 on PC and will instead display the message for attempting to discard a weapon. This is because the code that checks whether a Light World item is a weapon or not will always at least return the ID for the Pencil, causing all items to be prevented from being dropped in Chapter 4.[2][3]
