The irritable ghost,[note 1] also referred to as Pink's ghost, is a Lightner in Deltarune, residing within the Blook house in Hometown with the nobody and Napstablook. She is the counterpart of the ghost that inhabits the Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew in Undertale, sharing her angry temperament and tendency to repeat words three times in escalating volume.
Although her Light World appearance is never seen, in the Dark World, she dons a purple, short dress adorned with ribbons. She has pink cat-toy bells for earrings and light purple-colored short hair, and cat ears with a white colored inside. She also holds a purple-and-gray colored staff used for attacking. She resembles a catgirl, which is popular in anime culture.
Her Dark World appearance is nearly identical to that of her body as Pink, except with a different color scheme, thick black eyebrows, and a ghostly lower half instead of legs.
The irritable ghost is short-tempered and abrasive, expressing her frustration through loud, escalating outbursts. When encountered in the Dark World, she initially presents herself as friendly and jovial, but is easily flustered, and when sufficiently pressed, she drops the facade and lashes out with insults and violence. In spite of her irascible nature, she shows a great deal of compassion for Orange and is fiercely protective and supportive of her.
In Chapter 2, the irritable ghost is heard from the other side of the nobody's door, irritated that the knocker might be looking for Napstablook, who is not there at the time. If Kris answers they are looking for irritable ghost, she calls their face pathetic, and lets slip that they should say hi to Asgore for her. If Kris answers they are looking for "Someone Else", they can speak with the nobody.
In Chapter 5, the irritable ghost first appears when interacting with the ghosts' house in Hometown. She can be heard angrily complaining about something that she feels should belong to her, but the dialogue cannot fully be made out.[2] This is presumably the Mew Mew figure that she later possesses, as she can be heard complaining that "he" is showing the item off to everybody at the Festival, and Asgore can be seen nearby with the figure, referring to it as a gift from a friend.[3]
Later, she appears in the Flower King Dark World as the Shadow Crystal boss. She possesses the Darkner form of the Mew Mew figure and takes the form of Pink, who greatly resembles Mad Mew Mew and can be battled after purchasing the MysteryKey from the Shop at the Cliffs to unlock the Pink Door in Flower Castle.
