ICE-E
ICE-E (JP: ぶるどっ君 Burudokkun) is a brand mascot character of ICE-E's P"E"ZZA in Deltarune. He is referenced on various occasions, including as promotional merchandise found in Hometown.
ICE-E is an ice cube that is slightly "sweating". He has wide eyes, black eyebrows, and a snout similar to a dog's. He is depicted as having a wide grin with visible teeth. As the restaurant icon, ICE-E wears a chef's hat.
"ICE-E" is a variant spelling of "icy". It may reference the American frozen beverage brand Icee. It also resembles the names of various American rappers from the 1980s, such as Ice-T, Ice Cube, and Eazy-E, befitting the ICE-E brand's "cool" image.
ICE-E's Japanese name,「ぶるどっ君」(Burudokkun), may be a portmanteau of「ブルブル」(buruburu, "shivering"),「ブルドッグ」(burudoggu, "bulldog"), and the Japanese honorific「君」(-kun), often used for young men.
Various ICE-E-themed products can be found around Hometown. The Dreemurr residence's bathroom has a pizza-flavored body spray,[2] Ice Wolf wears a shirt depicting ICE-E, the hospital has a pain scale depicting him,[1] the library's Teen Zone has ICE-E wearing a headband, and the alley has a graffiti of him.
If Kris tells Noelle that Susie "Eats Chalk" when she is at her house's gate, she assumes Kris is joking. Noelle mentions that when they were children, Kris had claimed that "ICE-E was real and eats kids..."
In Cyber Field, there is an optional "GIASFELFEBREHBER" keyboard puzzle for the Hacker's blue checkmark challenge. If Kris interacts with Ralsei, Susie comments that it is ICE-E's catchphrase,[3] and can make a side comment about how funny it would be if a letter was missing.[4] Upon completing the puzzle, a green ICE-E appears on the monitor and winks, but glitches upon doing so.
Noelle's room in Queen's Mansion has an "ICE-E statue"[5] that is a cross between ICE-E and "something else". It appeared due to Noelle searching "is ice e real cryptid". If Kris inspects it, Susie states they should steal it for their room. Kris complies and takes it without a prompt, which transfers via Completion FILE.
After returning from the Cyber World, the ICE-E statue appears in Kris's room in Ralsei's castle. Upon inspection, the narration states, "(This maybe isn't the best thing in your room.)"
In Hometown, an Ice-E magazine can be found at 'Sans.[6][7] When Kris and Susie return to the Dreemurr residence to watch some movies, she jokes that Kris would appreciate "ICE-E The Movie".[8]
During Tenna's introduction, an ICE-E branded van resembling a Fiat Ducato is listed as one of the prizes the party can win by participating in TV Time. This van reappears among the many chests in the Bonus Zone, before it is stolen by Pippins.
Once Tenna forces the party to play the bonus round, he brings them to the empty Cooking Show. Tenna merely notes, "They're coming out of the pipes. They're crawling out of the pipes." Shortly after, multiple silhouettes of ICE-E emerge from the pipe on the right, slowly sliding their way to the pipe on the opposite end. These silhouettes do not interact with Kris at all, leaving them to avoid the flames falling from the top.
In Castle Town, Susie can move the ICE-E statue into Ralsei's room if Kris had collected it in Chapter 2, though Ralsei is discomforted by it.[9] When inspecting the statue, the narration states "(By process of elimination this is the best thing in Ralsei's room.)", as there is nothing else in the room, though it still says this even if the Ralsei plush furniture is in Ralsei's room.
In Hometown, the library's Teenz Corner has a new post stating that the ICE-E mascot is slated to be replaced due to licensing concerns, which Kris feels dread for. A deflated ICE-E also appears in the basement of Noelle's House.
In the Spamton Sweepstakes 2022 charity event, ICE-E has a dedicated page with a short anecdote: deltarune.com/icee/. It is an ICE-E recent sightings report from a young Noelle, who screamed when she thought she saw the ICE-E depicted on the pizza box wink at her. Her sister, Dess, immediately burned out the eyes on the box in response. When Noelle expressed fear as Kris was about to bury the box in Hometown's graveyard, they wore the box over their head and scared her.
In Undertale, Ice-E is visible on the unsolvable Monster Kidz Word Search crossword given by Sans. It cannot be solved due to the word "giasfclfebrehber" having a missing letter.
An inflatable of Ice-E also appears in the Dog Shrine for console versions of the game, and can appear either inflated or deflated.
