"The original" Starwalker (JP: スターウォーカー) is a Darkner and hidden recruit found in Chapter 1 of Deltarune. Starwalker first appears in Card Kingdom's Forest and makes cameos in the subsequent four Chapters if interacted with there.
Befitting his name, Starwalker's appearance resembles that of a star. His body is a large, five-pointed yellow star, with the bottom two points extended to be his legs, ending in flat feet. When standing, Starwalker's body seems to constantly be leaning to the right. His facial features only consist of two eyes, which give him an unenthusiastic or grumpy look. When moving, Starwalker walks comically slow, and the two points at the sides of his body swing up and down as if they were arms.
Starwalker somewhat resembles the beak of a Starwalker Bird and the SAVE Points from Undertale.
Starwalker likes to stress that he is the original Starwalker. He frequently declares being pissed off by simple things, such as the aforementioned birds and different prisons.
As shown by his optional relationship with Lanino and Elnina, Starwalker is polyamorous.
His emphasis on being the original may be due to the existance of numerous Starwalkers, especially seen in later chapters. In Chapter 1 he shares a name and room with the Starwalker Birds, while in Chapter 5 some smaller Starwalkers can be found one in the Love Dojo between Lanino and Elnina, and one introduced by Orange. Furthermore, Chapter 5 also includes the Tropical Starwalker and Tropical Starwalker Birds.
Starwalker's sentences tend to have large amounts of spacing between the last and penultimate word of the sentences, with some words capitalized or highlighted in yellow for emphasis. His dialogue is very formulaic, either revolving around his own name or him being annoyed by his environment. However, if he is spoken to in Castle Town in Chapter 5 after speaking to one of the Trashy Trio members, his dialogue has standard spacing and no yellow text, breaking these conventions.[3]
In Chapter 1, Starwalker is recruited if the party finds him on the path with the Starwalker Bird. If the party backtracks after ringing the bell at the end of the room, Starwalker appears at the beginning of the path—this can be done when entering the room from either direction. If spoken to, Starwalker states that the birds are "Pissing [him] off", declaring that he is the original Starwalker.
If Starwalker is interacted with in the Forest, he appears again in the prison of Card Castle, stating that the prison is "Pissing [him] off", and that he is the original Starwalker.
Starwalker only appears in Chapter 2 if the party interacted with him in Chapter 1.
When Lancer and Rouxls Kaard enter the inventory as Key Items, Starwalker also joins.
In Cyber City, when Kris gifts the prize to someone at the ball-toss stalls, Starwalker also joins the party, though only for this single room.
When assembling the Thrash Machine to fight GIGA Queen, Starwalker appears as one of the recruits who are adding their power and simply says "Star Walker", just before Rouxls Kaard adds the original Thrash Machine. If present, he adds 5 HP to the Thrash Machine's maximum HP, capped at 250.
Starwalker only appears in Chapter 3 if the party interacted with him in Chapter 1.
Before Kris and Susie wake up in TV World, Starwalker exits Kris's inventory along with Lancer and Rouxls Kaard and goes to the studio.
In the Before the Show area, after Tenna's introduction, Starwalker can be found at the very start of the stage, stating "[he] will be the 
walker..." using Tenna's speech pattern.
The party can meet Starwalker again in the Goulden Sam prison area while exploring TV World, repeating that the prison is "still Pissing [him] off", and that he is, yet again, the original Starwalker.
After the fight against Rouxls Kaard where Lanino and Elnina reestablish their previous relationship, Starwalker comes in after they announce they only want to be with someone who they can share the sky with, presumably indicating that he meets those requirements as a Star (walker).
After Mike leaves Tenna, if the party backtracks to the backstage room where they previously escaped from Tenna, Starwalker can be found at the end of the stage, stating "[he] was the star... walker".
During the final battle with Tenna, Starwalker can be seen helping Kris move Susie during the "PROTECT RALSEI" version of the Monster Movie mini-game.
Starwalker only appears in Chapter 4 if the party interacted with him in Chapter 1.
Starwalker enters the Dark Sanctuaries through unknown means. A petrified Starwalker can first be found in the 2nd Sanctuary, where he is described as "an original looking statue". An Organikk stands nearby admiring his original looks.
Starwalker later appears in the 3rd Sanctuary alongside the Cuptains and other recruits to help the party and Jackenstein climb, if at least one Darkner was recruited and none were LOST in the Dark Sanctuaries.
Starwalker only appears in Chapter 5 if the party interacted with him in Chapter 1.
Starwalker makes a few appearances during the Castle Town sequence. He can be found near the Great Door, seemingly being scared and confused by the Trashy Trio's disappearance after being talked to. He can also be spotted in the Party Dojo, shrunken down between Lanino and Elnina. Finally, he can be seen at the end of the Church's climbing minigame as a darling if cleared in under 25s.
Starwalker then later appears during the Green and Orange Flower Tea Time break, where the latter gets jealous of the party's friendship with him and brings out a tinier Starwalker, to which both Susie and Ralsei comment on its non-originality.
Starwalker reappears in the Top of Castle area if Kris backtracks after finishing the last gate section before Green's shop. When interacted with, he proclaims it has been a long journey and evolves into the Final Starwalker, which resembles final froggit from undertale.
Finally, Starwalker appears as one of the many Darkners to greet Susie when she returns to Castle Town after the credits.
A Darkner resembling Starwalker named Tropical Starwalker appears as an NPC in the Garden in Flower Kingdom.
- Starwalker's evolution into Final Starwalker is likely a reference to the Final Starmen from MOTHER 2 / EarthBound, with both being star-shaped beings and sharing the spikes on the shoulders and pointed feet, and by proxy Final Froggit from Undertale.
