Curtain NPC
(Someone from behind the curtain pushed you away...)
Curtain NPC narration, Chapter 3
The curtain NPCs are unseen characters encountered throughout TV World in Chapter 3. Two are seen in the Green Room, while a third is seen in the greater TV World area. The curtain they stand behind resembles the Dreemurr residence's shower curtain.
All curtain NPCs' appearances are unknown due to being hidden behind curtains.
The first curtain NPC is seen in the red carpet hall of the Green Room after the first round of TV Time. They talk about how the outskirts of TV World, the couch cliffs, were a desolate landscape before Tenna brightened everything up. They are replaced with a Shuttah NPC after the second round of TV Time. Due to both NPCs sharing similar speech quirks and staying in the same place, it is implied the first curtain NPC is the Shuttah met later.
The second curtain NPC is seen in the Green Room's S-rank changing room. After the first round of TV Time, they attempt to push Kris away from them, inadvertently giving them a Saber10. After the second round, they talk to themselves in reluctant hope over their own appearance. After the party's return from the greater TV World, they express concern for Kris.[3]
The third curtain NPC can be found inside the Watercooler room within the greater TV World. They react to how the party defeated the Watercooler, specifically whether they flirted with it. The NPC expresses relief if the party did not flirt with it, and are sorrowful if they did.[4]
- Due to a programming oversight, talking to the third NPC will prevent Miss Mizzle from noticing Kris has flirted with the Watercooler nearby in her fight, as the flag used to check is also used by this particular curtain NPC. Miss Mizzle's battle logic does not account for the flag's value changing after if talking to this curtain NPC after flirting, causing this error.
- The 2nd curtain NPC is implied to be the cactus in the hallway of the Dreemurr residence, due to them accidentally giving Kris the Saber10 (which is a cactus needle) when pushing them away and due to their personality, which fits the "tsundere" archetype Kris typically associates the cactus with[5]. Additionally, the 2nd and 3rd curtain NPCs are implied to be the same character.

How nice... her water... was always so nourishing... wasn't it...
She... was so brave... to put herself out there like that.
I'm sure you two... will be... very happy together...

(It's a cactus. It loves you, but mainly shows a sharp side.)
