Business Guy

From Deltarune Wiki

Hey short-stuff. Why would YOU possibly need to talk to the mayor?

Business Guy, Chapter 1

Business Guy is a minor Lightner in Deltarune. He appears at Hometown's Town Hall, where he blocks the way to Carol's office.

Profile

Appearance

Business Guy is a green-olive-skinned man who typically holds a black briefcase and is usually tilted over.

Personality

Business Guy is unpleasant and condescending, frequently belittling Kris and dismissing them as a child unworthy of adult matters. Despite his self-important attitude, he is revealed to be something of a blowhard with no real authority.

Main story

Chapter 1

In Chapter 1, Business Guy calls Kris "short-stuff" and asks what a child could possibly want to see Carol for, bringing up various babyish problems and directing them to talk to the cops instead. If addressed again, he wonders if Kris needs someone to change their diaper, again directing them to "the Cop's".[2]

Chapter 2

In Chapter 2, Business Guy recommends that Kris should graduate from "Diaper School" if they wish to get into politics, and that they are going to need to level up to understand "a Man's World". He admits that was his career path and that he does not even work there.[3]

Chapter 4

In Chapter 4, he lays flat on his back, now without his briefcase. He explains that Carol killed his "briefscase" with a giant katana, but he cannot complain since he voted for this. He then tells Kris he does not need their opinion and to "go look at some milk" to grow their "eye bones".[4]
