Blue Ears, Chapter 2
Blue Ears[3] (JP: あおミミ) is a returning character in Deltarune. He works at Hometown's ICE-E's P"E"ZZA alongside his co-workers Pizzapants, The Warrior, and Purple Guy.
Blue Ears resembles a thin, light blue rabbit monster with a red nose and a curved tuft of hair sprouting from the top of his head. He wears a bright yellow shirt with a vertical red stripe in the middle, a small hat, bright red pants, and yellow shoes.
Blue Ears is bright and optimistic, serving as a cheerful contrast to Pizzapants's cynicism. He is generally friendly towards everyone he meets, though he lacks awareness of personal space. He has a fondness for soft serve and genuinely loves his job and co-workers. Above all, Blue Ears deeply cares about the happiness of others, as he is willing to continue the "Pizzarina" persona for Pizzapants's sake.
Before the events of Deltarune, Blue Ears started working for ICE-E's P"E"ZZA as he mistakenly thought it was an ice cream shop.[4]
In Chapter 1, after Kris seals the Eastern Fountain, Blue Ears can be found standing to the left of the pizza parlor in an ICE-E costume with rabbit ears, shouting a list of different pizza flavors. He also tells Kris the reason he started working at ICE-E's P"E"ZZA.
In Chapter 2, Blue Ears is inside of the pizza parlor without his mascot costume, standing next to the soda-dispensing machine. He notes that the newly energetic nature of his co-worker (likely referring to Pizzapants) makes him happy.
In Chapter 4, Blue Ears attends service at church, and later appears at QC's Diner sitting next to Bratty. It is revealed that they are collaborating in creating the "Pizzarina" character that Pizzapants believes he is dating. However, Blue Ears shows apprehension in these plans, and states that he is continuing only because Pizzapants appears happy.
Following Kris and Susie's visit to Noelle's House, Blue Ears can be found standing in front of ICE-E's P"E"ZZA observing Pizzapants at his stand. He sends a text as Pizzarina asking to meet Pizzapants at the festival the following day.
Blue Ears and Pizzapants are co-workers at ICE-E's P"E"ZZA. Although friendly towards everyone, Blue Ears has a habit of accidentally spilling slushies on Pizzapants while giggling. He even feels happy to see Pizzapants energized, and even when going along with Bratty's plan to mess with him, Blue Ears ultimately prioritizes his co-worker's happiness.
During the festival, Blue Ears seems guilty and can be convinced to approach Pizzapants on stage. If he is convinced, Blue Ears confesses afterwards that he and Bratty have been deceiving Pizzapants and that "Pizzarina" was a persona she made and he took over. He explains that he had his doubts but grew to enjoy talking to Pizzapants and wanted to make him happy. He is distressed when Pizzapants yells at him for deceiving him and does not talk to Kris afterwards.
If Bratty or Catty approach Pizzapants instead, he appears chipper in the aftermath and is inspired to create a "Pizza and Poison" flavored ice-cream or a "Pizza and Cat Hair" flavored ice-cream respectively. However he seems to wish he could make Pizzapants happy as well, wondering if Bratty will still ask him to text for her.
Blue Ears collaborates with Bratty on creating the "Pizzarina" character. While showing some apprehension about the plan, he continues working with Bratty out of a strong desire to bring joy to Pizzapants. If Bratty goes up on stage with Pizzapants in the festival, he is inspired by them to make a "Pizza and Poison" flavored ice-cream and wonders if she will continue asking him to text Pizzapants for her. If Blue Ears goes on stage, he tells Bratty afterwards that they are no longer friends.
In Undertale, Blue Ears is named "Nice Cream guy", and is a recurring vendor who sells Nice Cream at various locations. He is also friends with Pizzapants's counterpart, Burgerpants.
