Purple Guy, Chapter 1
Purple Guy[2] (JP: パープルガイ) is a Lightner in Deltarune. He is a presumed employee at Hometown's ICE-E's P"E"ZZA alongside his co-workers Pizzapants, Blue Ears, and The Warrior.
Purple Guy resembles a pudgy figure wearing part of a blue ICE-E costume over his head, with the rest of the costume left off, while the remainder of his outfit resembles a purple dinosaur with a green stomach and a yellow patch sewn onto their side.
Purple Guy is an eager, enthusiastic character who constantly shouts exaggerated pleas to be included, regardless of the situation. This high-energy behavior extends to any occupation he takes part in.
In Chapter 1, after Kris seals the Eastern Fountain, Purple Guy can be found outside the pizza parlor alongside Blue Ears and Pizzapants. He stands to the right of the restaurant, shouting for the boss to "ICE [THEM] UP!" Pizzapants notably wonders if Purple Guy is an actual employee of the pizza parlor.
In Chapter 2, Purple Guy relocates to the Town Hall, now dressed up in a formal business suit while still wearing the ICE-E mask. When spoken to, he requests "PUT ME IN, COACH!!!"
In Chapter 4, Purple Guy is working as a diner employee at QC's Diner, wearing an apron over his business suit and asking to "GREASE [HIM] UP, CHIEF!". Dress Lion is thankful for the break provided by Purple Guy, though she notes that she does not recall him ever getting hired.[3]
At the festival, Purple Guy mans the Dunk Tank in front of the hospital. The player can choose to "Dunk" or "Tank" him; both options result in Susie dunking Purple Guy into the water tank. Checking on him afterward reveals that he is somehow melting in the water.[1]
During the Weird Route, Purple Guy is implied to have fully dissolved inside the Dunk Tank by the time the festival is over, turning the water purple and fuzzy.[4]
