Flowery
Heh. Sorry to keep you waiting, old man.
Flowery, Chapter 5
Flowery (JP: フラウリィ) is the leader of the 7 Colored Flowers that composed Asgore and Toriel's wedding bouquet. He is the main antagonist and final boss of Chapter 5 of Deltarune, first appearing in the Garden when the party first encounters him.
In the Dark World, Flowery bears striking similarities to a human, with the most obvious difference being that his skin, as well as his hair, are bright yellow. His hair is short, with the top and bangs being swayed to the right and slightly upwards (shown with an undercut in his introductory cutscene). His eyes are usually closed no matter the expression. Unlike most beings in Dark Worlds, Flowery, as well as the rest of the flowers, are neither Lightners nor Darkners, as they are living beings in the Light World like Lightners but gain a radically different form in the Dark World like Darkners.
Flowery's outfit consists of a white collared shirt overlaid with an orange and green vest and a black cape or jacket, which he carries over his shoulder. Brown trousers and black shoes complete his outfit.
When Flowery receives the power of all the other flowers, he transforms into a pastel rainbow silhouette, bordered by an outline with a darker tone of the same colors. In this state, he calls himself "Omega Flowery", in reference to the seven flowers' most powerful attacks being called "Omega Attacks", and in reference to Omega Flowey in Undertale.
Flowery is a pastiche of the type of characters who form the love interests of classic shoujo anime, and is presented as such in his introductory cutscene. Flowery boasts a personality befitting the stereotype of a preppy college student: high-class, sociable, appearance-conscious and somewhat bossy. He notably acts extremely protective and friendly towards Asgore due to the circumstances leading to his life being extended beyond expectations thanks to the florist's extended care. When entering the final fight with him, he reveals more shounen archetypes in his personality in contrast to his shojo traits, where he makes it clear that he deeply values and trusts his friends, as well as how hard he is willing to fight for them, which seems to enhance his fighting capabilities to some degree.
Towards others, he has an overbearing and a confident personality. He projects a glamorous attitude prone to dramatic intonation, and calls the members of the party "princesses".[7] He in particular has a strong habit of belittling Ralsei, which forms the crux of a rivalry between them. At various points, he forces Ralsei out of the party,[8] can convince the player to turn off Ralsei's voice (for a short time), and forces Ralsei to dress in his Chapter 1 attire and hide his face. In spite of this, he has also shown to care about Ralsei's identity anxieties, a fact which his demeaning approach often gets in the way of.
Flowery strongly values the power of friendship and deeply cares for the other flowers, and, in turn, they look up to him as a dependable and virtuous authority figure. He has heightened awareness of the Dark World and its functioning, but on the other hand, values little the world's ultimate fate, believing that nurturing Asgore's happiness as he nurtured theirs takes priority. He starkly opposes Ralsei's fatalistic view of a determined journey guided by the prophecy, fully believing that residents of the dark are able to master their own fates and choose freedom over the shackles of fate.
Additionally, Flowery is shown to be reckless; Ralsei pointed this trait out by mentioning that Flowery does not make plans before carrying out actions. In the end, this leads to his downfall after he recklessly charges against the Knight, ultimately resulting in it fatally wounding him.
He has the ability to fake his stats, giving him unbelievable amounts of power. However, certain foes, such as the Knight, can seemingly ignore said fake stats, rendering them useless.
Flowery presents himself as Asgore's college roommate and calls him "Gorey", giving his personality a resemblance to Rudy.
Flowery speaks with grammar mistakes, likely in a nod to mistranslated dating simulation games.[9] He also tends to pepper his speech with plant-related puns. His dialogue is often accompanied with voice clips, and he has a unique sound bite that can be heard when no voice clip is played or voice clips are turned off.
Flowery is one letter off from "Flowey", who plays the role of Undertale's main antagonist. This particular spelling is likely a reference to how Papyrus mispronounces Flowey's name,[10] and the two of them share several similarities. Namely, both are sentient golden flowers with heavy connections to the Dreemurr family, particularly Asriel and Asgore. They are also connected musically, as Flowery's boss theme references Flowey's leitmotif.

Flowery first appears in an anime styled cutscene, with his general demeanor greatly annoying Ralsei.
Throughout the game, several spoofs of him appear, all sharing his face, the ability to produce voice clips, and—optionally—his hair. These entities are referred to as Spikery, Signery, Chairery, and Laddery. There is more than one Signery. Spikery's "stingus!" voice line prompts Ralsei to question what he is saying. A Signery near a shadow puzzle can be inspected, resulting in being given the option to either read the sign or get Ralsei's advice. Choosing to read the sign explains that the sign was merely a lesson in friendship, instructing Kris to ask Ralsei for help instead. A Signery is able to be retrieved to be placed in Kris's room. Laddery is able to be retrieved to be placed in Ralsei's room.
Flowery feels strong gratitude for Asgore due to being grown and cared for by Asgore in the Light World, his greatest desire is to give Asgore a glimpse of a perfect world.[11] Asgore does not reciprocate these feelings and regards the receiving of unasked-for affection.[12] Asgore regards the flowers as little ones,[13] implying Asgore could see them as his children due to growing them prior. In this case, Flowery could stand in as an eldest brother figure for the other flowers similar to Asriel's relationship with Kris.
Susie and Flowery's relationship is rocky at first, somewhat by Flowery's own design. He acts condescending, calling Susie a "princess" and later "Sussie". However, in the next scene, he puts on an impressive show by showing off his fake stats and instantly sparing the Floradinn pair. With how he reacts when he learns that the party, and specifically Susie, are bonding with the flowers, he is happy for them—proving no ill will between them.
He is also genuinely thoughtful, as he suggests inside of the subarea near the Sheary topiaries room that Susie give some of the flowers she is eying to Noelle, though this is also rooted in delusion; Susie could no more give the flowers to Noelle than have Ralsei do her homework.
All in all, it seems like Flowery is often trying to annoy Ralsei through Susie, either by annoying Susie or by winning her over, but also has admiration and respect for her character.
Flowery is condescending towards Ralsei right off the bat, calling him "Raly", forcing him to wear his Chapter 1 design, and being generally antagonistic towards him. This is, more than anything, what turns Susie against him in the early parts of the story, before she starts to warm up to him. Flowery makes efforts to upshow both Ralsei and the entire party, much to Ralsei's chagrin.
It is around the midpoint of the story that the party and the player, get to see a more sincere side of Flowery, or something close. First, he tells Ralsei a somewhat sincere-sounding goodbye when he thinks they will leave through the first Light World beacon in the dark Garden.[14] Even if it is all facetious, it mirrors what he says to Ralsei later when he finds him praying in Flower Castle. In that moment, he once again compliments Ralsei on his kindness,[15] and even gives Ralsei a drink voucher, encouraging him to take his favorite drink instead of what Kris wants. Though the thoughtfulness of this moment is tempered slightly when he says, "Hey, smile again", calling back to Ralsei's poignant moment of forced optimism at the end of Chapter 4.
Ralsei and Flowery's relationship is built on a fundamental difference: Ralsei only wants to hope, but Flowery truly does, with all his heart—even to the point of arrogance, or, as Ralsei puts it, delusion. He truly believes that he and the other six flowers have the power to build Asgore's perfect world, with his battle theme's lyrics reflecting this, and Ralsei both detests and envies his ability to hold on to his hope.
At first, Flowery seems to be friendly toward Kris, noting that they have grown a lot and that Asgore must be proud of them.[16] However, over time it is made clear that Flowery is spiteful toward Kris, and does not believe that they truly care for Asgore. If given items, there is a chance he will ask Kris if they truly love their father,[17] and later in the chapter he states that he doesn't believe Kris wants to save their father.[18] During his boss fight, he also mentions that he is suspicious about Kris' plans, noting that they have "changed" since childhood.[19] However, Flowery does note that he doesn't know precisely what Kris's plans are, meaning he is likely not aware of the full extent of their connections to the SOUL and the Knight.
Flowery is friends with all six of the other colored flowers, referring to them as "the boys," (despite the fact that, as he would put it, "some of them's girls"[sic]). He appears to take an informal leadership role in the group, being responsible for their orders to oppose the party. Unlike the Darkners working under previous antagonists—specifically, King, Queen, and Tenna—the flowers all seem to work with Flowery completely of their own will. All of the flowers ultimately choose to fight alongside Flowery, despite holding no ill will towards the party. Even when the party escapes jail and begins to approach Flowery's Dark Fountain, Flowery is happy that they have grown closer to the flowers in doing so.
Orange is referred to as Flowery's little sister, though whether this is a hereditary relation or closer to an adoptive one is unclear. Given that Pink is referred to as Orange's big sister despite having no relation to any of the flowers, and the fact that Flowery's Light World form seems to be a different variety of flower than Orange's, the latter is more likely.
The TP gain from Defending is unannouncedly halved to 8%, likely in order to balance the fight (which mostly focuses around TP gain and usage).
If the party is defeated during the fight with Flowery, a Game Over does not occur. The party is sent back to the overworld fully healed with their items recovered, as Flowery lambasts the party. Green then arrives and informs the party that they have cooked up all the items used during the battle. Losing multiple times changes the dialogue between Flowery and the party.
Flowery introduces the Orange SOUL Mode, which allows the SOUL to dash through the blue walls that appear in his bullet patterns. Flowery's attacks are special in that the bounding box is greatly extended and there are white lines on the background of the battle box that flow left, giving the appearance of constant movement/flying.
Flowery partners with 2 sets of the other 6 flowers after enough ACTs. First with Seth and Aqua, then with Orange and Green and finally with Blue and Yellow.
The attacks occur in the following order.
Initial Phase: From the start of the fight until Aqua & Seth join.
- Intro: The soul starts trapped in a small box while blue stems slowly move towards the player, followed my more stems. This attack only occurs the first attempt of any session.
- Turn 1: Stems - Stems go from the top of the box to the bottom of the box fly at the player, at first alone then in series of stems. Apart from the last three stems, the stems are broken up by blue sections that can be dashed through. Before the last three entirely white stems, there is a blue lily pad that allows the player to fly over the three white stems when dashed into.
- Turn 2: Jarona 1 - A charge attack where Flowery will dash 7 times while flashing blue, during this time he can be hit with the orange SOUL ability. The move can also be "parried", by timing the ability right when Flowery is very close. This gives ~4 TP more than just a regular dash into him.
- Turn 3: Wall of Thorns 1 - A wall of thorns approaches the soul from the left, while short stems approach quickly from the right. In order to outpace the wall of thorns, blue stems must be dashed through.
- Turn 4: Jarona 2 - A similar attack to Jarona 1, except every time Flowery is dashed into they spawn a spinning projectile
- Turn 5+: Wall of Thorns 1 and Jarona 2 continue to alternate each turn.
Aqua & Seth:
- Turn 1: Seth Books 1 - Seth creates boxes that will automatically cause dashes when exited, which are separated by moving walls of damaging words. Green words can be collected.
- Turn 2: Lilypad Knives - Aqua creates walls of knives that can be jumped over by dashing into lilypads. The soul's landing position after each jump is marked by the shadow below it. It is possible to pass through the knife walls without taking damage if properly spaced.
- Turn 3: Seth Books 2 - The same as Seth Books 1, except each safe box is separated by 2 synchronized walls of books. If enough hits were taken in Attack 1, it repeats Seth Books 1 during this turn instead.
- Turn 4+: Lilypad Knives and Seth Books 2 continue to alternate. Seth Books 2 will be used normally even if turn 3 used Seth Books 1.
Orange & Green:
- Turn 1: Jarona 3 - Flowery will dash at the soul again and must be parried, this time joined by Orange (who will take a longer time to dash from when they start the audio cue and also leave behind glove projectiles when parried)
- Turn 2: Jarona 4 - Flowery and Orange will dash at the soul again, but joined by Green which after a fake out by one of the others will launch fire projectiles into the bullet box.
- Turn 3: Wall of Thorns 2 - Similar to Wall of Thorns 1 from the initial phase, but the runs of blue stems are a lot more variable in length and usually shorter.
- Turn 4: Jarona 4 repeats.
- Turn 5+: Wall of Thorns 2 is repeated indefinitely.
Blue & Yellow:
- Turn 1+: Wall of Thorns 3 - A wall of thorns approaches the soul from behind that Blue stems must be dashed through to keep ahead of. Only blue stems will spawn. Additionally, bombs will be set off ahead of the soul leaving behind damaging projectiles that must be avoided.
Final Phase:
- Turn 1: Stems + Jarona - A series of stems with very small blue sections fly at the soul. Attack ends with 4 Flowerys that must be parried, with the final one spawning a wave of spinning projectiles
- Turn 2+: Jarona 5 - Flowery dashes at the player and must be parried, spawning 2 spinning projectiles each time they are successfully parried.
Final Attack: After selecting Susie's Idea, the player gets no more turns and is instead must complete a series of minigames to end the fight.
- Climb: Kris must climb up a series of platforming sections while thorns rise from below, jumping to blue walls resulting in them dashing upwards at high speeds.
- Petal Feather: Kris's health is fully restored as they enter a Petal Feather sequence where Flowery is parried by attacking them. After successfully parrying enough times (or Kris's health being depleted) a quick time event occurs where Kris must slash to counter Flowery's slash. This section cannot be failed, as Kris running out of health results in it skipping to the end, and failing the quick time event only results in different post-fight dialogue.
Flowery can only be defeated nonviolently; the first time Flowery is damaged, Susie and Ralsei heal him on their own accord, tell him they are going to defeat him their way, and will no longer FIGHT when commanded. Afterwards, while Kris can still attack Flowery, Ralsei and Susie will heal him immediately. These healing spells will cost the same amount of TP as BetterHeal and Heal Prayer if you have it, resulting in a total of 107% TP being lost. Essentially, you will lose all of your TP if you attack Flowery. Thus, it is strong discouraged. Even if both Susie and Ralsei are downed, you have little to no TP, Kris has maximum attack, and the BlackShard is equipped, Susie and Ralsei still heal Flowery up to max HP. Flowery is completely unkillable and cannot even be seen below max HP in the menu.
While a charge dash persists longer and provides more leeway for timing, a tap dash is almost always more beneficial once it can be timed correctly. Some attack patterns require tap dashes in quick succession.
The dark gray bars serve as timing indicators: If Z is tapped at one gray bar distance from an attack than it can be consistently hit. For Flowery's attacks, pressing Z right at or slightly before his う! voice clip.
If possible, always use the Kris-only version of the mercy ACTs. The extra TP cost can be compensated by using Defend to gain it back.
For the parrying attacks, mashing Z while using the up and down keys to dodge bullets works as a viable no hit strategy.
With Seth's attack, patience is key; try to stay in the middle and instead wait for the words to pass and create an opening- do not value the healing words, as they only give a very slight amount of TP on touch.
The fight will end when Flowery reaches 50% mercy.
Posey
1–10% Mercy
Costs 64% TP. Triggers a timing event identical to Undertale's attack system, with the exception of the Kris-shaped silhouette in the center. Increases MERCY by a variable amount between 1% and 10%, depending on how close the hit is from the center of the box. If the hit is far enough from the center, the ACT misses and grants no MERCY. Capped at granting 10% MERCY per battle; once the cap is reached, switches to BlowAway (along with PoseyZ to BlowAwayZ).

PoseyZ
1–10% Mercy
Costs 50% TP. Capped at granting 10% MERCY per battle; once the cap is reached, switches to BlowAwayZ (along with Posey to BlowAway). If Shi, Shinobeetle, and/or Kawkaw were recruited, they will be present in this ACT as well.
BlowAway
5% Mercy
Costs 64% TP. Capped at granting 10% MERCY per battle; once the cap is reached, switches to Spin (along with BlowawayZ to SpinZ).

Justice
Begin the trial.
Every DOWNed party member other than Kris is revived with 1 HP remaining if DOWNed. Then a trial starts, and the correct evidence (Moss) has to be chosen, otherwise all party members take damage if the wrong evidence is chosen. Flowery's mercy is then decreased by 10%, Blue and Yellow leave the battle, and Ralsei is taken out of the party. Once the correct evidence has been selected, Justice is replaced by SusiesIdea.
SusiesIdea
???
Costs 48% TP. Susie throws Kris high up, then Kris has to climb quickly on the spiraling vine to avoid the rising thorny vines.
S-Action
Gives 12% TP. (1.5x of Defend)
R-Action
Gives 12% TP. (1.5x of Defend)
After losing to Flowery multiple times in the same play session, some buffs will be applied to the party:
| Loss | TP Gain from bullets | Damage taken from bullets |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | +10% | -5% |
| 7 | +20% | -10% |
| 8 | +25% | -12% |
| 9 | +30% | -15% |
| 10 | +35% | -18% |
| 11 | +40% | -21% |
| 12+ | +50% | -25% |
Jarona!
- [First attempt]
- So you made up your minds...
- Listen.
- Since the beginning, we were love...
- Your father grew us, a rainbow bouquet of seven flowers...
- As a proposal to your mother.
- Flowers, that were only supposed to live for one smiling day...
- And yet, he did not let us go. He kept us alive, alongside his love...
- Every day, he watered us. He talked to us. He sang his dreams to us.
- And each day, we wished we could do something in return.
- His friend grew sick, and we could do nothing.
- His money ran out, and we could do nothing.
- His family left him... and we could do nothing.
- And yet he still cared for us... !
- Weak, useless flowers... flowers that could do nothing in return!
- But now... our time has come! For flowers to be the heroes!
- And build a world... where all his kindness may be repaid!
- Kris! This is your final chance!

- [Asgore] Kris, Kris, my God, are you alright?
- [Asgore] ...Flowery, didn't you say they went home...
- I... I thought if they wanted to prove...
- [Asgore] How could I have let this happen...
- [Asgore] I was so obsessed with finding out about the Dark World...
- [Asgore] I didn't make sure you were...
- [Blue] This is a comedy, not a tragedy. Get up, you two.
- [Asgore] Kris, Kris! Thank goodness you're okay!
- [Asgore] ... Kris...
- [Asgore] I think...
- [Asgore] I owe you an apology.
- [Asgore] Not just you, but... everyone, as well.
- [Asgore] Kris.
- [Asgore] ... ever since that horrible day...
- [Asgore] I've... only blamed myself for what happened.
- [Asgore] All I ever wanted
- [Asgore] Was to prove it wasn't my fault.
- [Asgore] To make sure that it would never happen again.
- [Asgore] That it was all because of...
- [Asgore] This.
- [Asgore] The "Dark World."
- [Asgore] ... but now that I'm finally here...
- [Asgore] It makes me realize
- [Asgore] How pointless that all was.
- [Asgore] None of you ever blamed me.
- [Asgore] None of you ever said it was my fault.
- [Asgore] Even so... seeing the aftermath of my failure...
- [Asgore] Made my self-hatred consume me.
- [Asgore] One... that ultimately drove your mother away.
- [Asgore] I thought that if I could just prove it... prove I was right.
- [Asgore] It would fix everything.
- [Asgore] But even when I finally found that "proof" I wanted...
- [Asgore] ... I still failed to protect you.
- [Asgore] Kris... I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not realizing sooner.
- [Asgore] When Asriel comes home...
- [Asgore] ... I would love to see both of you together.
- [Asgore] Even without your mother if she prefers.
- [Asgore] ..., and Kris?
- [Asgore] I'm immensely proud of you.
- [Asgore] It seems that while I wasn't looking...
- [Asgore] You've become courageous... wise...
- [Asgore] And made many wonderful friends.
- [Asgore] Kris... It's your time now.
- [Asgore] End this dream... won't you?
- But wait... Asgore!
- What about... the diner!? What about skateboards!?
- [Asgore] ... you do know I was playing along, right?
- [Asgore] My only goal was to find the truth.
- [Asgore] If anything your actions toward me...
- [Asgore] ... made me realize, well...
- [Asgore] How it feels, to receive... such unasked-for affection.
- You didn't... actually like my mixtape?
- [Asgore] Well... I did. It was, well, very thoughtful.
- [Asgore] At time, you seemed... like a really lovely person.
- [Asgore] All of you did. But...
- Asgore, listen This world, it's perfect for you!
- I've seen how alone you are! You want to go BACK!?
- [Asgore] Flowery. Even if I wanted to... I couldn't stay.
- Why?
- [Asgore] Back in the real world, my shop is waiting.
- [Asgore] It's not right to leave it empty.
- [Asgore] Someone has to take care of the flowers.
- ... heh.
- Can't argue with that, oldbuddy.
- If that's what he wants... that's what he wants.
- [If you intentionally take damage at the intro]
- What, you can't even hold and release [insert button]!?
- Well, if that's the way you wanna go out...
- [Next round]
- I'll never let you get to the Dark Fountain...!
- Hey, tutorial boy! Stop dazzling and teach them how to fight.
- [Ralsei] I, I...

Unlike most characters, Flowery speaks using voice clips, sometimes not matching his actual written dialogues. He generally stops using voice clips and uses regular voice grunting when he gets serious. Flowery's voice clips include the following:

In 2025, one of Toby's friends said "What's the opposite of 'I miss Tenna?'" when playing the incomplete version of Chapter 5. This was likely directed towards Flowery.[20]
The animation for Flowery's intro is animated by Studio Khara, the same studio that animated Rebuild of Evangelion.
Flowery is implied to be the counterpart of Flowey, a major character in Undertale. Both characters are shown to be golden flowers with a high degree of sapience, although Flowery only possesses the latter trait under the Dark World's influence; each of them also possess a powered-up "Omega" form using the combined power of six other beings. They also share a close affiliation with Asgore and Toriel, in which Flowery was one of the flowers used for Asgore's bouquet for Toriel, while Flowey himself was formerly the son of the two monsters. Additionally, Flowery's battle theme, Flower Man, features the Your Best Friend motif, which is associated with Flowey in Undertale.
A major distinction between the two, however, is that Flowery is shown to be kind and genuinely caring of others, whereas Flowey is typically characterized as being sadistic and apathetic. For instance, Flowey mentions that he has lost any emotional connections with people, specifically his father, Asgore.[21] However, Flowery holds much admiration and affection for Asgore, even when it is not returned to him.
Furthermore, both of them share a degree of understanding of how the "game" works, with Flowery manipulating the stat menus and explaining the battle mechanics to Susie, and Flowey's frequent fourth wall breaks, such as referring to the SAVE system.
Flowery shares the trait of being a college student[22] with that of Asriel[23] in Deltarune. It can be inferred that due to Flowey's status as a form of Asriel in Undertale, Flowery's similarities to Asriel in Deltarune are by design. Another character strongly associated with Asriel is Ralsei, who has a strong rivalry with Flowery.

- As Studio Khara owns the copyright to the series Neon Genesis Evangelion and also animated Flowery's intro, the "SORRY TO KEEP YOU WAITING!" text that appears at the end of the animation uses the same modified Times New Roman font used in the series' title cards.
- When giving Flowery an item, he makes one of three comments: "Mmm-mmm-good!" "Petalicious!" or "Floweriffic!" There is a 1 in 101 chance that the comment is "Do you love your father, Kris?" After three items are given, Susie complains about giving Flowery items.[24]
- While Flowery is in the party, attempting to read his spells or change his equipment will result in him saying "No, no, no!" And flashing a smile at the camera.

- Flowery's eyes are colored in his talk sprite, which can only be seen after the fight with him as his eyes are never open before then.
- Flowery's form of martial arts, "Jarona", could possibly be a reference to the song My Sharona by the band The Knack.
- This is especially notable when he faces the Knight and says, "Heh, how did you like my jarona?!"
- When Flowery replaces Ralsei in the party at the garden, the selection arrow will still be green instead of yellow.
- Several of Flowery's spells are potentially references to the Japanese media franchise Pretty Rhythm, particularly its spin-off King of Prism.
- These include "Ez Do Dance" (an opening theme used in the anime Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live), "Prism Rush" (a style of performance seen in "King Of Prism"), Honey Kiss (a move performed in Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, Dear my Future, and King of Prism), and Infinite Hug (a move performed in Aurora Dream and King of Prism).
- One of Flowery's voice clips, "Smile again?" could potentially be a reference to the fan-made Touhou video My Name is Hong Meiling by the artist Rerarin.
- Another of Flowery's voice clips, "I'm falling", could potentially be a reference to a piece of promotional material for Guilty Gear X that became a meme for its cheesy English voice acting.
- Flowery's pose in his "pose" sprite is a reference to one of Jotaro Kujo's poses from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future fighting game.
- This pose may also potentially be a reference to the Ronald McDonald character mod for the M.U.G.E.N. fighting game engine, as Flowery's Undertale counterpart has a voice line taken from a McDonald's ad.
- The resemblance to M.U.G.E.N. Ronald McDonald further extend to having a voice line for every action, and a "cheapie war" that involved M.U.G.E.N users edit and upload increasingly stronger versions of Ronald, up to instant win mechanics or straight up malware a PC. This is similar to Flowery trick of faking his stats to all 999, the Omega Flowery form also look similar to a Ronald's edit.
- A Bromide of Flowery is placed within the player's Key Items. "Bromide" is a loanword in Japanese for a photographic print, especially in idol and other fan contexts. In some games, one can collect character illustration bromides, especially humorous or pin-up-style illustrations, as an in-game bonus the player can view. This is characteristic of early games in the Lunar series.
- The BromideR will show Flowery sitting on a Ralsei plushie with the latter's outfit and holding a bouquet of flowers.
- The BromideF will show Flowery bathing.
- This Bromide in particular is a reference to Lemina's Bromide 4, and by extension, Borgan's Bromide from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.
- In Chapter 3's Island Board one of the photo spots is a golden flower cut in half. This could be foreshadowing to Flowery's fate after his battle with the Knight.
- Half of a photograph can also be found in a cupboard at the beginning of the Flower Kingdom, which may imply half of the Light World equivalent of this photo is in Asgore's possession.
- Flowery's stats are fake, and are set to 99, with 999 HP. These stats are later ignored by the Knight.
- The fact that Flowery is effectively defeated when he reaches 50% on the spare meter is possibly due to the falseness of his high stats, with his required mercy percentage possibly being exaggerated as well.
- Kris cannot be defeated during Omega Flowery's final attack. Once Kris reaches 1 HP, if they are hit, the clash cutscene will automatically play out.
- Once slashed as Omega Flowery, the background and foreground changes color to one of the colors of the 7 Flowers. Once each of the flowers' colors have been displayed, the slash cutscene will play out.
- Flowery's fake 999 stats directly parallel Flowey, whose data on his save file is entirely composed of 9s, but may also be a parallel to Chara, as both Flowery and Chara are associated with golden flowers, and Chara is also often associated with the number 9.
- Flowery stating that he "just [needs]... a little water" after being fatally cut by the Knight may be a reference to the fact that flowers cut at the stem, as his Light World form has been, can survive in water.
