Flower Man

From Deltarune Wiki

A being taken shape from the Golden Flower.
Everything about him is an illusion... but, with hope, can he make it real!?

When checking Flowery, Chapter 5

Flower Man, also referred to as Flower Man feat. Camellia, is the 34th track of the DELTARUNE Chapter 5 OST. It plays during the battle against Flowery in Chapter 5, and during Flowery's own confrontation with the Knight following the battle.

Lyrics

Similarly to Raise Up Your Bat, the track itself does not feature audibly-spoken lyrics. Instead, lyrics are conveyed in-game through text on screen, lining up in real time with the melody a la karaoke. The text is yellow and appears at the top of the screen, and the text flashes during the chorus.

English Japanese Romaji

Ten feet twenty the Flower Man
Is waiting for the touch of his hand
Straightening petals out without a plan
Like the every daily
Wish that bothers the Flower Man
Could I do something to make him laugh
Inside my little chamber made of glass
So he lived the
Flower Man, Flower Man
With his heart in the sand
So he stands
To watch the whole wide world
From a can
Way up high in the sky
With the sun in his eyes
Ain't it nice
The life forever for
Flowers

Ten feet twenty the Flower Man
Is waiting for the touch of his hand
Fallen to pieces still without a plan
Yet the every daily
Hope that powered the Flower Man
Would never cower off of its path
Even if broken I am more than glass
So he lived the
Flower Man, Flower Man
With his heart in the sand
So he stands
To watch the whole wide world
From a can
Way up high in the sky
With the sun in your eyes
Ain't it nice
The life forever for
Flowers

Trivia

  • The title "Flower Man" is first used in a Prophecy panel from Chapter 4's Third Sanctuary, depicting Asgore with his hands around a flower. As such, it's possible that the term refers to both Asgore and Flowery, with the former being a florist and the latter a literal "Flower Man".
  • Flower Man is currently the only track in the game that includes both uppercase and lowercase letters in its internal filename, being listed as "Flowerman_Arrangement, whereas other tracks are internally listed with either entirely lowercase or uppercase text.
  • This song (or at least the Flowery motif) was foreshadowed by an Organ Easter Egg in the Dark Sanctuary.
