Trashy
Trashcans like me can HOLD all sorts of things.
Trashy, Chapter 2
Trashy (JP: クズー Kuzū) is a Darkner from the Cyber World in Deltarune. He can first be encountered in Cyber City's Trash Zone. He travels to Castle Town at the end of Chapter 2.
In Chapter 5, he becomes a member of the Trashy Trio, an optional boss.
Trashy's body is a green metal trash can with the lid serving as a head and the opening serving as a mouth. He has two googly eyeballs with blue irises on each sides of the handle of the lid. He has black arms with white gloves. His feet are the same color as his body, and are connected directly to his body without legs.
It is implied that the light green trash can in the computer lab is the Light World equivalent of Trashy.[2]
Trashy is optimistic and willing to help by giving tips about gameplay mechanics. Despite the help he provides and his kindhearted nature, neither the party nor other Darkners like him.
Trashy serves to contrast with Nubert, who both live together in the Trash Zone—everyone loves Nubert for seemingly no reason, whereas everyone who mentions Trashy seems to dislike him.
"Trashy" is the diminutive of "trash". Its simple nature may be deliberately chosen to match Trashy's "underwhelming" personality. He may also reference Clippy, a virtual assistant produced by Microsoft with a similar googly-eyed appearance, also known for being widely disliked for attempting to help.
The name "Trashy" was previously used by Papyrus in Undertale, who names a bag of trash as such.
His Japanese name,「クズー」(Kuzū), is simply an elongation of「屑」(kuzu, "garbage").
Trashy first appears in the Trash Zone, directly above Nubert. Here, he informs the party about the item storage function. Susie interrupts and criticizes Trashy for spoiling the emotional moment. If Kris spoke to Nubert in Cyber Field, Susie and Ralsei are instantly excited to see Nubert. If Kris attempts to talk to Trashy again while Susie is in the party, she comments, "No time for this guy." Shortly afterwards, Ralsei explains the same information, and Susie remarks positively to it. If Kris returns without Susie, he reexplains, though he laments that it has already been mentioned.
If talked to in the Trash Zone while Spamton's shop is open, he mentions that a strange man was looking for Kris over there. If talked to in the Trash Zone after defeating Spamton NEO, he mentions the Addisons to his left.
At the rooftop of Queen's Mansion and before the encounter versus Queen, Trashy can appear to remind about any missing recruits. He also states that he will join player's town even though they did not recruit him. This occurs if:
- The player did not defeat any non-boss Darkners violently in Chapter 1.
- There are missing Chapter 2 recruits, with none of the Darkners or bosses defeated violently, including in Party Dojo.
Regardless of the route and amount of recruits, Trashy always joins Castle Town. If none were recruited, Trashy appears to comfort Queen when she notices the absence of Cyber World Darkners. If the party recruited at least one enemy but failed to recruit all of them, when Queen comments on Nubert's absence, Trashy informs the group that Nubert said "he wouldn't come unless everybody else did", causing Queen to marvel at Nubert's heroism.
Afterwards, Trashy can be found in courtyard in front of Ralsei's castle, alongside the Royal Coat Rack. He expresses excitement to meet new friends.
Serious Trashy, a more serious version of Trashy, appears in TV World after the party escapes from Tenna. He appears to represent the trash can in the Dreemurr residence.
If no Cyber World enemies were recruited, Queen's room in Ralsei's castle is empty, other than herself and her only roommate, Trashy. Trashy wishes for a different roommate, one that acts more like him and looks like a feminine version of himself.

In Chapter 5, Trashy can be found at the east of Castle Town. When interacted with, Trashy will claim he is tired of being disrespected and float off. Afterwards, he can be fought at the Top Bakery as part of the Trashy Trio, along with Nubert and Ball.
