Rainy[2] is a Lightner from Hometown in Deltarune. He frequently dances outside on the streets of the town.
Rainy is a small, light blue monster that wears a red shirt and a red cone-shaped hat. He has protrusions from the sides of his head that resemble fins or a water splash.
Rainy is a carefree and energetic child that expresses naivety at times. He enjoys dancing in open spaces, especially in the rain.
In Chapter 2, Kris can find Rainy dancing outside of the Town Hall. He mentions that having wide-open spaces is great for kids, while commenting that sometimes it is good and bad to "get [one's] freak out". Rabbit Kid stands nearby and remarks that Rainy's dancing prevents them and their friends from playing baseball. They entertain the idea of joining him, but choose to abstain.
In Chapter 4, after Kris and Susie leave Noelle's House, Rainy is found outside of the Police Station, dancing merrily in a puddle of rainwater. He mentions that rain is the best weather for puddles, but he is unaware of every type of weather. He wonders if "soonami" is a weather.
In the Undertale 6th anniversary stream, Rainy makes an early cameo appearance in the modified Chapter 1. He appears behind the gate on the right side of the school.[3]
