Police Station

From Deltarune Wiki

The Police Station[1] (JP: けいさつしょ) is a building in southern Hometown, west of the hospital and east of the blocked road. Undyne and Napstablook work here as the town's officers.

The Police Station can only be entered in Chapter 2. In other Chapters, the building is locked and cannot be accessed.

Main story

Chapter 1

In Chapter 1, it cannot be entered. Inside, someone closes the blinds if the door is knocked on. The narration's description implies that Napstablook closed the blinds.

Interacting with the door after the blinds are closed states that the police "aren't really feelin' it right now". This is a reference to Napstablook's battle in Undertale, in which one of their attacks only consists of harmless text that reads "REALLY NOT FEELIN UP TO IT RIGHT NOW. SORRY."

Chapter 2

In Chapter 2, Susie notices Alphys is nearby and refuses to go near or enter the building. Undyne sits at her desk with a key atop. Kris can try to mention the library's Dark World, which causes Undyne to laugh so hard that she destroys the desk, causing the key to slot itself into the jail door. As the Wet-Nose Bandits escape, Undyne asks Kris to give a Box of Heart Candy that is meant for Alphys's bike. After this occurs, Kris can interact with Napstablook, who notices the jailbreak and plays Chill Jailbreak Alarm To Study And Relax To.

Chapter 4

In Chapter 4, the Police Station is closed and cannot be entered. Napstablook lays outside getting (harmlessly) continuously ran over by the Snail Guy and can be asked about Undyne and the shelter.

The interior of the Police Station

The interior is a square room with Undyne's desk situated at the center. A jail cell is situated in the upper-right corner, initially housing the Wet-Nose Bandits. The northern wall contains a bulletin board with a news article detailing Undyne's debut as police chief following Asgore's removal. The upper-left corner contains a file cabinet, on top of which is Napstablook's boombox. Napstablook themselves is in front of the cabinet.

A wall extends from the western wall and contains photos of Undyne rescuing Catti's family and Napstablook from a tree. Below the wall is a table with a vase of flowers on top. A couch is situated along the bottom-right corner.
