Ralsei's castle
In front of you, a castle looms beneath the empty town.
A black geyser emerges from it, piercing endlessly into the sky.SAVE point in Castle Town, Chapter 1
Ralsei's castle[1] (JP: ラルセイのお城) is a location in Deltarune. It belongs to Ralsei and is located at the northern end of Castle Town. As of Chapter 4, it consists of three floors and a basement. It houses the Grand Fountain, which permits Darkners who were recruited to persist in the closet Dark World. Ralsei encourages Kris and Susie to spend their time in his castle. Certain Darkners also live there.
The furniture and Darkners that appear in the castle depend on the party's actions in previous Chapters.

In Chapter 1, Kris and Susie meet a hooded Ralsei, who introduces himself as the "Prince of this Kingdom". He offers to inform Kris and Susie of the prophecy, and that they are the foretold "HEROES of LIGHT".
After the tale, Susie declines to be a hero, as she considers it "pretending" and prefers leaving. Before Ralsei can change Susie's mind, Lancer appears and knocks him away. Lancer introduces himself and his intent to defeat the two to ensure they do not go east, as it is their "only way home".
Lancer engages Kris and Susie in an encounter, and subsequently retreats after losing. Ralsei then walks back to the two and expresses concern. Upon Susie's request, he takes off his hood and reveals his appearance. After he confirms that they must go east, Susie departs. Ralsei recommends to Kris that they find Susie, and follows behind Kris.
Ralsei's castle is inaccessible in this Chapter. If Kris inspects the door, Ralsei suggests that they should find Susie, and that he may bake a cake after their adventure.[2]
In Chapter 2, Kris transfers Card Kingdom's Darkners to Castle Town. Ralsei explains that he has a surprise awaiting Kris and Susie inside the castle.
On the second floor, Ralsei states that he has prepared rooms for Kris and Susie. He explains that he wants the castle to be a second home for both of them.
If Kris attempts to walk out before Susie can see her room, Susie protests and projects that Kris is leaving to consume cake.[3] Susie is impressed upon entering her room, and playfully punches Ralsei's shoulder to express thanks. Back in the second floor's hallway, Ralsei encourages Kris to explore Castle Town until they are ready to leave.
By the end of Chapter 2, Kris transfers all Darkners recruited in the Cyber World to Castle Town, some of which stay in or around Ralsei's castle.

In Chapter 4, all Darkners recruited in TV World show up in Castle Town. The stairs to the third floor open up, revealing Queen's and Tenna's new rooms. Ralsei's own room is also on the third floor, though he unsuccessfully tries to make it inaccessible with tape. Lancer's room expands to the right, and he can be seen doing construction work there along with other recruited Darkners.
At the beginning of the Chapter, Ralsei temporarily swaps and joins Kris's and Susie's rooms to create a big enough space for the three of them to have a tea party, though he promises to revert the rooms back.[4] During the tea party, Ralsei and Susie comment on how the other changed over time. Ralsei reveals that he has never eaten cake, to which Susie gives him her slice.
The entrance to Ralsei's castle is the place where Kris and Susie meet Ralsei for the first time, before the first battle with Lancer takes place. In Chapter 2, the Royal Coat Rack and the little ball are present at the place where Kris and Susie met Ralsei, provided the party has not hurt anybody during Chapter 1.
After returning from the Cyber World, Trashy can be found here. If all Darkners were recruited in the Cyber World, Nubert can also be seen here, with his blond wig now belonging to the little ball. In Chapter 4, Shuttah is doing a "wildlife fashion shoot" of a Maus, C. Round, Poppup, and a Tasque, all wearing pink bows, in this area.

At the entrance is a large cauldron, where Ralsei cooks and bakes cakes. To the left is the staircase to the second floor, to the right is the staircase to the basement, and a large, locked door can be found just north of the cauldron.
The second floor, also known as "Living Quarters", is where Kris's, Susie's, and Lancer's rooms are located, as well as a staircase to the third floor. After returning from the Cyber World, Queen can be found here too, planning her new room on the third floor. If all Darkners were recruited in the Cyber World, she and Lancer can be found lying on loungers here, with a Rudinn begrudgingly fanning them. In Chapter 4, the staircase to the third floor opens on the rightmost side of the hallway.

Kris's room bears a resemblance to Asriel's side of their room in Hometown. It contains a bed with a striped blanket, a wall shelf with trophies, a drawer with a stand for their Manual, and a wardrobe full of clothes. Unlike Asriel's side, the room lacks a flower poster, a digital alarm clock, and games underneath the bed. The mock window has a different drape design, and appears sketched like the star scribbles.
Other items appear or replace based on Kris's actions:
- If the Manual was thrown away in Chapter 1, the drawer is replaced with a trash can.
- If Kris has eaten the moss in Chapter 1, "decorative moss" can be found at the bottom right corner of the room.
- The ICE-E statue appears here if Kris steals it from Noelle's room in Queen's Mansion.
During Chapter 4, Kris and Susie's rooms are combined for a tea party, and the previously mentioned items do not appear in the combined room.

Susie's room contains a spiked bed, a refrigerator, another stand for her Manual, and another wardrobe.
Similar to Kris's room, other items appear based on Kris's actions:
- A Susie plush can appear on the right side of her refrigerator. This occurs if Kris chooses to give the gift to Susie in Cyber City's ball-toss stalls.
- If collected from Noelle's room in the mansion, a statue of a monster similar to the legend of DELTA RUNE scene appears here. Susie denies the statue looking like her.[5]
During Chapter 4, Susie and Kris's rooms are combined for a tea party, and the previously mentioned items do not appear in the combined room. In the middle of both rooms, a table with a cake, dishes, cups and tea on it is present. The cake slice that Ralsei leaves half-eaten after the tea party regenerates after re-entering the room.

Initially, Lancer's room looks exactly the same as his one in Card Castle, but without his bike in the bed. It contains a spade-shaped bed, a picture of a spade, four interactive pictures of Lancer, four holes he dug into the floor "recreationally" and a music player which can only play splat noises. A splat sound plays upon entering the room, and the same sound plays in reverse upon exit.

In Chapter 4, Lancer expands his room to the right if enough enemies were recruited. The extended room resembles the Field with its grass flooring and tree background. It houses multiple NPCs, some of which form a construction crew together with Lancer. Lancer describes his expansion to be in search of treasure, however Mr. Elegance describes it with building enrichment enclosures as the goal. A Swatchling is collecting worms from the ground in hopes of becoming Rouxls Kaard's employee, a Ponman and Hacker are tamping the soil for enrichment purposes, and a Maus, Poppup, and Tasque are moving around the room. A bulldozer in the room, similar to the one Sans drives in the Valentine's Day 2024 newsletter, is also receiving enrichment from its surroundings.
The other part of the room is slightly renovated as well; all of the floor holes have been organized into the corner to make space, one of the four Lancer pictures has been replaced with an interactive Queen picture, and the music player now plays Queen's laugh when interacted with.

If no Cyber World Darkners were recruited, the room remains empty with only Queen and Trashy standing in it.
If enough were recruited, Queen can be seen between two large speakers drinking acid, along with Rouxls disguised as a lamp in the bottom-left. To the right are a Head Hathy and a Werewerewire using computers to access online dating sites, a small Electro-Dasher and Rabbick sweeping the floor, and two Shadowguys driving a car back and forth as a "touring band". Entering the room plays Queen's laugh, and exiting plays it in reverse, similarly to Lancer's room.

If Tenna was fixed in Chapter 3, he gets his own room. If brought to Castle Town, he dances in the bottom-right of his room. Rouxls is seen disguised as a lamp in the bottom-left. Lanino and Elnina are in the top-left corner. The Royal Coat Rack stands in the top right next to one of the podiums from Tenna's TV Time, seemingly losing Ralsei's original hat forever.

Ralsei's room is completely empty upon entering it, with only a single window on the wall and the vague texture of flooring on the ground. If Ralsei was given the gift from the ball-toss stalls in Chapter 2, a Ralsei plush appears at the bottom-left of the room as his only belonging.
Saddened by the state of his room, Susie brings in Kris's ICE-E statue if stolen in Chapter 2 and adds it to the room. If not, a trash can is added. Either object is described as the best thing in his room by process of elimination. Later, in the Dark Sanctuaries, Kris and Susie can steal a couch cushion and a ladder to add to Ralsei's room in a future Chapter.
The basement, or "Living Quarters for Bad Guys", contains two cages with the three Former Kings and Cage Animals, and one large jail cell containing King, whose cage resembles that of a giant hamster cage. C. Round is shown to be the protector of this room. After Chapter 4, C. Round is sleeping on the job, and only one former king remains in the cells, as the rest of the Former Kings and the Cage Animals have left. The Goulden Sam cage also intends to leave soon.
