Dreemurr residence
Welcome home, honey!
The Dreemurr residence,[1][2] also referred to as Kris's House[3] (JP: クリスの家), is the home of Kris and Toriel in Deltarune. It is a tidy two-story home located far north in Hometown, where it is surrounded by trees and has a driveway heading south. Toriel parks her red van in the driveway when she is at home.
It serves as the main setting of Chapter 3's TV World after Kris makes a Dark Fountain within the living room at the end of Chapter 2.
Prior to the events of Deltarune, Asriel and Asgore lived in the Dreemurr residence alongside Kris and Toriel. Eventually, Asriel left for college and Asgore moved out of the house after his divorce with Toriel.
At the start of Chapter 1, Toriel wakes Kris up inside their room for another day at school. From there, Kris can explore most rooms of the Dreemurr residence before leaving. Once Kris leaves the household, Toriel drives them to school with her van.

After bidding farewell to the Darkners in Card Kingdom and sealing its Eastern Fountain, Kris returns home. In the living room, Toriel welcomes Kris, and informs that she finished baking a butterscotch-cinnamon pie. She mentions that it is still cooling, and that it should cool once they wake up. However, Toriel warns Kris to not consume the entire pie when it has cooled. Kris decides to go to their room and sleep after the long adventure.
In the middle of the night, Kris suddenly stirs. Falling out of their bed, Kris slowly walks over to the center of their room and tears out the SOUL, then throws it into the nearby birdcage. Kris pulls out a knife and turns to face the screen with a wide smile as their right eye glows red. The SOUL can be moved slightly with the directional buttons after its removal.

At the start of Chapter 2, Toriel barges into Kris's room upon discovering the pie tin. Toriel acknowledges that Kris's knife was left behind. Despite this, Toriel makes a lighthearted joke about Kris eating the entire pie and informs them that it is time for school. Similarly to Chapter 1, Kris can explore some of the rooms before leaving for class.
After returning from the Cyber World and filling Castle Town with recruited Darkners, Kris and Susie eventually return to the front of the Dreemurr residence. Toriel notices Susie as she is about to leave, and invites her inside for some pie. Toriel introduces herself, and recalls Susie from Alphys's comments. She offers to bake a pie with Susie, but the latter suggests that Kris teaches her instead. During their banter, Kris asks to wash their hands, and Toriel decides to teach Susie in the meantime. While Susie and Toriel bond as they prepare the pie in the kitchen, Kris goes into the bathroom. Upon turning the sink on, Kris tears out the SOUL again.
Kris exits through the window and slashes the tires of Toriel's car. Eventually, Kris returns to the bathroom and re-inserts the SOUL back inside their body. Afterward, Toriel realizes she left the sugar in the van, and goes to retrieve it. Alarmed by discovering the slashed tires, Toriel disregards finishing the pie, and suggests that Susie stays for a sleepover. Despite Toriel's recommendation, Susie does not call her parents.
In the living room, Susie sits on the couch, and tells Kris to do so as well. Susie finds the dusty remote in the couch before asking Kris what they should watch.[4] Susie also muses about bringing the Darkners over to the Light World. If Kris agrees and has inspected the apple-scented shampoo, Susie will deny drinking it.[5] Susie also recalls that the festival is coming up, and asks who Kris would go with. The options are Noelle, Susie, Ralsei, or no response. Afterwards, Susie flicks the channel to a monster movie, and falls asleep snoring. Kris also falls asleep.

Some time passes, and Toriel calls the police, with Undyne answering the call. Toriel informs her of someone lurking around her house, and her slashed tires. Afterwards, Toriel takes the time to read a book on her chair. She eventually turns off the TV and falls asleep on said chair.
Eventually, Kris wakes up, removes their SOUL and shoves it into the couch. Kris opens the front door, turns on the TV, briefly looks at Susie, and plunges their knife into the floor to make a Dark Fountain within the household, creating a new Dark World in the process. They sit back at the couch and re-insert the SOUL before going back to sleep. As the room is shrouded in darkness, the TV's screen displays a wide grin before Until Next Time and the Chapter 2 credits play.

TV World takes place entirely within the residence. The living room is featured in brief scenes where Tenna reminisces. Optionally, the Monster Movie minigame can also be played, which Tenna created for Susie as a token of gratitude for watching him.[6]
In a later moment of reminiscence, Tenna recollects Kris's childhood, when the Dreemurr and the Holiday families used to watch the yearly holiday specials around his Light World form as they ate butterscotch pie. Toriel's chair is replaced with a large Christmas tree and gifts in the recollection. Gradually, however, the families' members stopped watching TV and Tenna was left unused. This is reflected by the characters disappearing from the recollection in the following order: Dess, Carol, Asgore, Noelle, Rudy, Asriel, and Kris.
At the end of the Chapter, Susie and Kris exit the house through the Great Door and return to Hometown to chase the Knight and end up at the shelter. Off-screen, the two eventually return to seal the Dark Fountain.

Toriel wakes up Kris as they dream about Susie musing in front of the house's Dark Fountain. She informs Kris that it is breakfast time, and they take a seat at the kitchen table. Toriel remarks on Kris sleeping, and that she had some strange dreams herself. She then recalls that it is Sunday, and thus invites Susie to go to church with them. Everyone dresses up, with Susie having to wear some of Asriel's old clothes. While Toriel waits outside, Kris and Susie can explore the house.
After sealing the 3rd Sanctuary Fountain and returning to the Light World, Kris and Susie return to the Dreemurr residence to find Toriel and Sans dancing to music together. Susie asks if they are interrupting something; Toriel replies they are not and they are free to join in. Susie immediately leaves, and Kris heads upstairs to sleep afterwards. However, Sans and Toriel's partying keeps Kris awake, leading them to put a pillow over their head to drown out the noise. The partying seemingly stops when Kris hears Susie's voice before attempting to climb out of the window.
The house has pale yellow wooden exterior and a gray roof. Four windows and the front door are visible, and a Delta Rune is displayed above the door. In front of the house is a blue outdoor doormat and a grassy front yard, with a few yellow flowers growing close to the house. To the right is a small driveway where Toriel parks her van.
In Chapter 4, Susie can comment on Toriel's van, expressing desire to street race in it, though she notes that the tires are flat.
If Kris did not visit the school's supply closet before going to Noelle's House, the TV can be found in the front yard, with a blanket covering it. Susie frets over Tenna and quickly brings him to Castle Town. When returning, Susie explains that Tenna was shivering, but was put on a tanning bed by Lancer.

The residence's living room is a wide-open space. On the wall are two curtained windows with figurines on the windowsill, a set of wall sconces and a picture depicting a heart. Other decorations are on the walls. On the room's left side is a brown armchair named "Chairiel",[7] in the center is a CRT TV atop a red cover on a drawer table, and to the right is a faded red armchair and a potted plant. In the center of the room is a circle rug. The south side of the room has a book of hymns on a side table and a large couch. A landline house phone hangs on the wall between the living room and adjoining kitchen.
In Chapter 1, the TV is not plugged in.[8] Toriel sits and reads a book on her chair at the end of Chapter 1. If Kris has visited the Flower King shop, they can give Toriel the Bouquet via the "Flowers" option. This option transfers to Chapter 2 via Chapter 1 Completion FILE.
In Chapter 2, the TV is plugged in, but is dusty.[9] Kris makes a Dark Fountain in the living room during the night.

In Chapter 3, the living room is featured numerous times. Tenna frequently reminisces about members of the Dreemurr and Holiday families sitting in the living room and watching TV together.
In Chapter 4, the book of hymns is absent, as well as the red cover underneath the TV. If Shadowguys were RECRUITed, the figures on the windows are also absent. A blue blanket is draped over the right armchair, under which Kris sleeps at the start of the Chapter. Susie notices Kris nicknaming Toriel's chair, and mistakenly calls it "Chariel".[10]
The state of the TV depends on the party's actions in TV World:
- If the Shadowguys and Pippins have been RECRUITed, the TV will have some scratch marks and tape on one of its antenna. Susie recalls finding Tenna in the Dark World, and that she was able to repair him with the help of the Darkners.
- When repaired, the TV will be absent from the living room if Castle Town has been visited, it has been gifted to "nobody" in the Blook house, or if Toriel puts it outside during the rain.
- If the Darkners weren't RECRUITed, the TV is damaged beyond repair and has a large crack in its screen. Susie was unable to find Tenna in the Dark World, as no one wanted to help her.
Post-church service, the blue blanket is put away. Toriel can be found reading a book in her chair. After talking with her and entering the kitchen, Toriel informs Susie and Kris that she will be at church for choir practice, and asks that they go there instead.
At night, a gramophone is placed on Chairiel, playing The Ol' Jitterbug. Interacting with it allows the song's RPM to be changed.

On the left side of the kitchen is the bathroom door and the staircase to the second floor. On the wall are two curtained windows with figurines on the windowsill and a set of wall sconces. There is a refrigerator with multiple photos, a sink, which has some white fur stuck in the drain, a stovetop with some cinnamon batter on top, and monster and human-shaped cookie cutters in the right drawer. On the far right is the trash can, which has a floral scent. The south side of the room contains a rounded table and four chairs.
At the end of Chapter 1, a butterscotch-cinnamon pie sits on top of the stove. Depending if Kris has given the Bouquet, the trash can emits a stronger floral scent after Kris leaves the room. The narration only acknowledges the family photo on the refrigerator, which depicts Kris, Toriel, and Asriel.[11]
At the end of Chapter 2, Toriel and Susie bake in kitchen. Interacting with Toriel and Susie has them talk about gingerbread cookie cutters and sugar, and Toriel suggests that Kris wash their hands. The sink can be inspected, though the narration suggests the bathroom.[12] If Kris tries to go upstairs, Toriel tells them to not sneak chocolates.
In Chapter 4, Susie and Kris have breakfast together with Toriel in the kitchen. The windowsill figurines are absent if enough Shadowguys were RECRUITed. There is a plate in the sink, and Susie notices the white fur. The trash can's flowers are watered and blooming. Susie can comment on the old family photo and a photo of Asriel on the fridge.
- The old family photo causes Susie to notice Kris is wearing their red-horned headband in it.[13]
- The Asriel photo causes Susie to laugh and assume Kris photoshopped Ralsei. Kris immediately corrects her, and points out their differences. A second inspection causes her to state that she will crush both of them, noting that Asriel's horns appear vanilla-colored.[14]
- Choosing not to causes Susie to tell Kris to stop hugging the fridge.
Susie comments on both butterscotch pancakes on the table, planning to eat both of them. Post-church service, the plate and the pancakes are gone, and Toriel's dialogue at night suggests she put them in the fridge.

The bathroom is next to the second floor's staircase. It contains a bathtub and shower combination, stocked with a gallon-sized container of pet shampoo and an apple-scented shampoo, a toilet, and a sink with a cupboard that has ICE-E body spray.[15]
In Chapter 1, Kris can flush the toilet multiple times, which makes Toriel knock on the door.
- On the third flush, Toriel knocks on the door out of concern.[16]
- After the sixth flush, she knocks and assumes Kris flushed a bath bomb.[17]
- After the ninth flush, she knocks for the third and final time, and gives a stern warning.[18]
At the start of Chapter 2, the narration for the sink mentions it is not time to wash hands.[19]
At the end of Chapter 2, only the sink can be interacted with, and the door cannot be opened. Inspecting anything else shares the same narration.[20] Kris can also use their Cell Phone to call home, where they ask to talk to Susie,[2] though she is dismissive. After Kris returns, the bathtub can be inspected, revealing that the apple-scented shampoo is lighter.[21]
In Chapter 3, the body spray is referenced as an Island Board item: Pizza Deodorant (For Nerds). The curtain the Curtain NPCs stand behind resembles the one hanging by the shower.
In Chapter 4, the bathroom is inaccessible before going to church. Post-church service, Susie is willing to enter the bathroom. She denies drinking the apple-scented shampoo, despite it having bite marks. Checking the toilet makes her remember her own bath bomb related pranks, though she notes that Kris should not pull them at home. The cupboard makes Susie laugh that both Kris and Asriel have food-scented hygiene products.

Upstairs is the hallway. From left to right is Toriel's room, a mirror, and a large drawer that contains "How to Draw Dragons", an overdue library book[22] that Toriel is aware of,[23] though Asriel may never return it.[24] The cover depicts a "mauve dragon wearing lipstick"[25] that is immodestly dressed.[24] Beside the drawer is a potted cactus, Kris's room, and a large bookshelf. If the mirror is inspected, it unlocks an achievement for PS4/PS5 versions.
In Chapter 1, the large drawer has old crayons inside, though there are no green crayons.[26] There is little said about the cactus.[27] The bookshelf is noted to have a book on snails, and a signed history book by Gerson.
In Chapter 2, the mirror narration differs.[28] The large drawer can be inspected, which has the overdue book.[24] For the bookshelf, the narration states there is no time to read books.
In Chapter 3, the potted cactus is alluded to be the cactus Darkner, as well as its related weapon, Saber10.
In Chapter 4, inspecting the mirror has the narration describe that Kris feels like everything might be fine with Susie beside them. Inspecting the large drawer causes Susie to catch a glimpse of the "How to Draw Dragons" book, and Kris shuts the drawer. A second inspection causes Susie to ask about seeing it again. The narration for the cactus is more descriptive, and alludes to the word tsundere, a word Kris dislikes. It also alludes to the narration for the potted cactus in Undertale. For the bookshelf, the narration states there is no time for "random, unimportant text".[29]

Kris's room is shared with Asriel. It is where Kris wakes up at the start of the first two Chapters. Pressing the "[CANCEL]" button when Kris gets out of bed causes them to leave their bed faster. Between their sides of the room is an olive rug depicting the Delta Rune, and a window with curtains. Once a Completion FILE has been created for Chapter 1 or 2, Kris can go back to bed to immediately enter the respective Dark World.
The east side of the room contains Kris's belongings, which are primarily colored gray. Kris's shelves are slightly damaged, and their side of the wall is bare. Kris's drawer contains only clothes and a gray lamp, and the only visible belongings are a rusted birdcage in a battered red wagon. At the foot of the bed, a bloodstain marks the floor. Much of the narration for Kris's side is succinct.
The west side is Asriel's. Trophies line the walls, and his side of the wall has glow in the dark stars, and a flower poster. Asriel's bed has a striped blanket, and under it are assorted music CDs and a game console with a knock-off and regular controller. Asriel's side also has a drawer with a lamp, a book and an alarm clock, and a computer desk with old books underneath.
In Chapter 1, the inspection for Asriel's drawer varies based on the SAVE file slot used for Chapter 1:[30]
- In the first SAVE file, it has a torn cross-country shirt.
- For the second, a school ID with a bad haircut.
- For the third, there are expired coupons.
In Chapter 2, the narration acknowledges Kris's birdcage, and emphasizes there is no escape.
Inspecting Asriel's drawer reveals 5 dollars inside. Choosing to take the money transfers via Chapter 2 Completion FILE. Underneath the bed is a "Cat Petters RPG" cartridge, which used to belong to Catti and Catty.[31] The computer desk features a game design, which has a "last boss" that is "a creature with giant rainbow wings", alluding to Undertale, and its True Pacifist Route.
In Chapter 4, a SAVE Point can be found in front of the window. Susie comments on various objects in the room. Inspecting Kris's bed causes her to realize Kris's lack of prizes. In response, Susie kicks Asriel's drawer, causing a star to fall off. She tosses it onto Kris's side of the wall, and claims it is the "Susie prize" for having her at their house. Interacting with bloodstain causes her to clean it up with Kris's help.[32] Inspecting the birdcage makes Susie assume Kris owns a bird or "something", though she dislikes that Kris nods at "or something".
Kris can optionally take 5 dollars from Asriel's drawer regardless of if this was done in Chapter 2. Susie reassures Kris if it is taken. The CDs underneath Asriel's bed causes Susie to want to toss them as frisbees for fun. Inspecting the desktop causes Susie to laugh at the wallpaper, which resembles the Cyber World. A second inspection causes Susie to realize that Seam is in the corner, and recalls seeing them in Castle Town.[33]
At the far west side of the hallway is Toriel's room. Toriel locks the chocolates she purchased from Sans's grocery store inside.[34]
It is locked in Chapters 1 through 4.
- Exterior of the Dreemurr residence
- Kris's room at night at the end of Chapter 1
- Concept art of the Dreemurr residence by Temmie Chang
- Unlike all the other Delta Rune emblems in the Dreemurr residence, the emblem above the front door has the triangles reversed.
- "Chairiel" is a name that was previously used in Undertale for Toriel's small chair in her room.
- In Chapter 1, the window for the bathroom differs versus later Chapters. It does not have window blinds.
