Dark Dollar
The Dark Dollar (D$) is the main form of currency in the Dark World. It is primarily earned at the end of encounters, or from selling items and equipment in shops.
Dark Dollars can be used to purchase items from shopkeepers, such as Seam and Swatch. Dark Dollars can also be spent at other vendors, such as the Bake Sale stands or the Addison who sells the Mannequin. In Spamton's shop, despite being referred to as "KROMER", Dark Dollars are still used.
In the Field, Dark Dollars can be used to purchase a tutorial from the Jigsaw Joe. However Ralsei pays if Kris repeatedly declines to pay, or Jigsaw Joe gives it for free if Kris does not have enough Dark Dollars.
West of Seam's Shop, 1 Dark Dollar can be donated to the "Donation Hole". If donated, Battle's Master's "Hole" dialogue in Chapter 2 differs.
Dark Dollars can be earned through various methods in the game.

- The party earns D$ when they win a battle. Leftover TP remaining at the conclusion of a battle is converted into extra D$. The party can earn extra D$ by repeatedly encountering recurring enemies. If an enemy is frozen, the basic reward of this enemy increases by 24 D$.[1]
- During battles against Mizzles, it is possible to steal 100 D$ via the Embezzle ACT. This can be done repeatedly.
- Items and equipment can be sold to shopkeepers (except Spamton, the Old Man and all but one vending machine) for Dark Dollars.
- All purchasable items (except Dark Candy and Darker Candy) have a sell value of half their purchase price.
- Key Items, items from Shadow Crystal bosses (such as Jevilstail/Devilsknife and PuppetScarf/Dealmaker), the Manual, ThornRing, Shadow Mantle, Pipis, and BitterTear cannot be sold.
- The BlueRibbon cannot be sold either, though this may be an unintentional bug, as its ID is the same as the BlackShard's.
- The Top Chef gives Kris infinite SpinCakes if they are used, sold, or dropped. The cakes can be sold repeatedly. However, each cake only sells for 3 D$, making this a very inefficient method. Similarly, LancerCookies are free in Chapters 2 and 4, and Lancer gives them to Kris infinitely if they are used, sold, or dropped.
- In TV World, POINTs are used as the primary currency instead of Dark Dollars. Near the end of the Chapter, a vending machine in the ABC-Rank rewards room allows converting POINTs into Dark Dollars at a devalued exchange rate.
Additionally, Dark Dollars can occasionally be found in Dark Worlds as rewards.

- Card Kingdom:
- In the Forest, a room east of the Bake Sale contains a chest with 40 D$.
- In the Forest, further east in the Starwalker walkway area, Kris can receive 40 D$ per interaction from the Starwalker Bird. If Kris approaches the room from the east, rings the bell, then chases and interacts with the ambulatory portion of the Starwalker Bird, they receive D$ from "Starwalker's ambient luster". This process can be repeated.
- Three of the Chapter 2 Party Dojo challenges in Castle Town reward the party with Dark Dollars the first time they are completed:
- Completing "Jigsaw Joe" rewards the party with 1 D$.
- Completing "Graze Challenge 1" rewards the party with 100 D$.
- Completing "Tasque Manager Says" rewards the party with 250 D$.
- Cyber World:
- In Cyber City, a trash can containing 20 D$ can be found in the room preceding the one where Noelle joins the party.
- In Cyber City, two trash cans, containing 20 D$ and 80 D$, can be found in the room preceding the second Berdly fight.
- In Queen's Mansion, a chest on floor B1 contains 1 D$.
- Dark Sanctuaries:
- In the Dark Sanctuary, a chest containing 500 D$ can be found in the climbing section right after the Jackenstein fight.
- In the 2nd Sanctuary, a chest containing 500 D$ can be found in the Gallery.
- A certain climbing section contains silver and gold coins that award 5 and 20 D$ respectively when collected. This can be done repeatedly.
