Cowboy minigame
Why do I have to be the horse...!?
Ralsei, Chapter 3
The cowboy minigame is a minigame played in TV World. Kris, Susie, and Ralsei are automatically transferred to this minigame on two occasions while traversing the overworld. It also appears as a possible minigame during the final encounter with Tenna in the Cold Place.

During this minigame the party is transferred to a Wild West setting. Kris and Susie don cowboy outfits, and Ralsei acts as the horse. The party is presented with a train boxcar with windows arranged in a 3×3 grid. Shadowguys periodically pop out of the windows at random, and the objective of the minigame is to shoot the Shadowguys as they appear. Kris's shots are indicated by a reticle over the window, and they must aim by holding a directional input. If no direction is inputted, the reticle automatically targets the center window.
Each Shadowguy shot awards 1 POINT to the party. Shadowguys that remain gradually turn red, and if enough time has passed, the Shadowguy shoots at the party, dealing 10 HP of damage to each member. Ralsei can jump by pressing [CANCEL], though this has no real use. If Kris stalls on the first shot, the Shadowguy does not shoot back and Susie comments on it.[1]

- In TV World's second cowboy minigame area, Ralsei can temporarily gain the "Horse" title, as he still wears the horse costume.
- An unused object exists in Chapter 3's files which contains an early cutscene that would have played when failing this minigame. In it, Tenna has dialogue similar to his reactions to failing other minigames, though unlike the used cutscenes he does not have changed responses for failing it multiple times.[3][4] This is likely a leftover from when the minigame was intended to be played in an earlier version of the City Board.[5]

Hey, what are you doing!? Shoot!
— Susie, Chapter 3 - 1 2
Gigi drew the concept art for Chapter 3 pretty early on, so as the Chapter evolved, sadly, many of the actual in-game assets ended up deviating from their concepts... We’ll definitely show their concept art after the Chapter is released, though!

• Board 1 (Desert Board)
• Cooking game
• Board 2 (Island Board)
• Rhythm game
• Board 3 (City Board)
• Susiezilla & Cowboy
• Board 4 (Tenna controls the game)
• TV World
At that time, I had assumed that the boards would've been much quicker experiences. Only the City Board would have been larger, with one minigame within each half of the city. Completing both games would allow you to go to TV Tower, which would trigger a sequence which ultimately brings you to Board 4.
