Flower Castle
Flower Castle (JP: 花ノ城) is an area of the Flower Kingdom in Chapter 5 of Deltarune, following the Cliffs area.
Upon entering Flower Castle, Asgore appears and pushes Kris and Susie back into the Light World while Ralsei hides in a bush. Upon reentering the Dark World, Kris and Susie are imprisoned by Flowery. Aqua somehow teleports into the jail cell, and Seth frees the three in exchange for one of Berdly's feathers. Ralsei pacifies the prison guards and the party enters the foyer through a trapdoor. They then can proceed to the West and East wings.
In the east wing of the castle, Orange boasts about her strength, but has little effect on the party; additionally, she ruins Aqua and Seth's otherwise unbeatable bullet pattern. The party finds three Netskies by another Netskie disguised as Aqua in order to progress, and Orange battles them with help from Green.
In the west wing of the castle, Yellow gives the party a key. After being tricked into believing that he trampled on Blue's flowers (or, if the party fails to trample any of them, "stealing" the Dark Fountain), he goes through the yellow door to punish himself for failing to display justice. The party tries to stop him, collecting evidence along the way, culminating in the destruction of a laser. Blue gives the party his key shortly after, commenting on the features of Yellow's trail of destruction alongside the party as they descend. After the party is targeted in a misunderstanding, Blue and Yellow challenge the party to prove their innocence of four crimes using a courtroom-based battle format. The last of these crimes turns out to be Blue stealing petals from Yellow, which he uses to make a bouquet for him.
During all of this, Asgore talks about his plans to look through documents, prove the existence of the Dark Worlds, and get revenge for an unspecified event. The documents that Asgore is looking through fall down to an area accessible by the party. On inspection, they reveal the existence of a Dark World long ago and flavor text about the BlackShard.
Ultimately, both wings end in a scissor, which cuts the bush blocking a screen. The party uses the giant watering can behind it to grow a huge stalk, which leads up to the top of the castle.
The castle comprises an east and west wing, each of which culminate in a fight against two of the flowers. There is also a central atrium, with a hedge to the north blocking the path that can only be cut with scissors at the end of the two wings. The east wing features the Flower Cafe and puzzles regarding shadow, while the west wing features two locked doors, many platforming sections, and a focus on collecting evidence.
The castle's architecture is highly reminiscent of that of various periods of Japanese history. Though mostly taking place inside, there are some alleyways that lead outside. Many of the castle's rooms are unusually large; in particular, most have very high ceilings.
The front has light shining above, which Susie comments that she and Kris will not use. Left is the castle entrance, right is a separate room that contains a pink chest, which requires five Terakotas to reach.
Inside the center atrium is a sprout in the middle, a shortcut door to the west, and a large topiary of Asgore and Flowery blocking the north path. The west wing goes to the zen rock path, and the east wing leads to the Flower Cafe path.
The Jail is where Kris and Susie land in after reentering the Flower King shop. Kris can choose to consume the moss here, otherwise Susie consumes it on her own.
Outside of their cell is where two SAVE points can be found, with the first disappearing after reuiniting with Ralsei. Ralsei's butler costume can be inspected twice before it "migrates". Three sleeping Floradinns can be found here before climbing the ladder.

A SAVE point is here. Kris can interact with recruits here, "take a break" with the 7 Colored Flowers, or purchase items with Flowery Dollars or Dark Dollars.
North is a shortcut to the Right Diner, which opens up after a cutscene is seen there.
Continuing east leads to a room with a long shoji wall with two doors and one of the five Terakotas that can be pushed off the ledge for a pink coin. The party must take the left shoji door to go behind the wall, where they can either head north or take the center shoji door to access the rest of the room.
Below the center door, there are five more Terakotas: one being encounterable, and the last four that need to be pushed off the ledge in order to obtain a pink coin by backtracking to Flower Castle's front. Heading further east leads to the shoji door hall.
North leads to a separate room where Yellow is trying on a sock behind a shoji door, who reacts similarly to a Shadowguy. A pink chest can be found here, and heading southeast leads to a view of the pink chest containing the aforementioned pink coin.
Aqua and Seth can be found looking at a story. Further east, Aqua prepares knife Bullet Patterns on the sides of the shoji doors, causing Kris to weave in between the doors to avoid getting hit. At the end of the hall is Seth and a platswap statue.
With the platswap statue active, the party backtracks west and around the knives to reach the northwest platforms. Depending on if Aqua was hit with S-Action - Spin, 50 Flowery Dollars can be earned, though the knives in the upper northeast path can spin in a faster circle before pausing. This also causes Seth and Aqua to have a slightly altered conversation. Post completion, this room is empty of knives.
The next room consists wallpaper of some of Asgore's letters, which are illegible. After the party observes Asgore trying to read his obscured notes and getting distracted by Flowery, Aqua, Seth, Yellow, and Green, they can check some of Asgore's notes.
If the notes at the zen rock path have yet to be read, Ralsei parses them as mentioning a Dark World from a long time ago.
If the notes at the zen rock path have already been read, Ralsei parses them as mentioning that a BlackShard was left at that older Dark World, and that it matched with BlackShards found at the computer lab and presumably one or more other locations.[1] Ralsei and Susie's dialogue is altered slightly based on if the BlackShard had been obtained in a Chapter 3 Completion FILE.
The lower room consists of an orange Delta Rune door, two Signery, the shadow platform puzzle, a platswap statue, and a shortcut door on the far-right. On the top-right of the area is an upside-down Signery, and a pink bell.
When the lower Signery is or is not read, comedic dialogue occurs, otherwise Ralsei offers advice on the puzzle.
The vertical platform can be moved to be one tile above the floor and in the middle-left of the shoji windows, and the horizontal platform can be moved to the upper-right shoji window to reach both the orange key and the pink bell.
Knocking down the upside-down Signery can cause the sign to be collectible furniture upon inspection.
The Right Diner is located directly above the Flower Cafe. It contains a SAVE point and a counter but does not act as a shop.
Shocked that Orange failed to stop the party, Seth calls in Green to do so instead. To their dismay, Green instead gives the group some food and opens up a shortcut back to the Flower Cafe.
After completing the castle's east wing, Aqua can be found here practicing her spinning dance with two Mantises.
Upon heading north, Aqua tells the party that they must find three "foxes" to progress. The available area for finding foxes comprises a short linear overworld maze, where a Netskie is hidden in the bullets, and a large chamber full of Terakotas, featuring a chase for another Netskie and a passage to a smaller room containing a third Netskie to the northeast.
Upon supplying the foxes, Aqua will reveal that she herself was a fox in disguise all along. An encounter ensues, but is cut short when Seth enters. Two more Netskies must be found to open the next door, mostly achievable through puzzles.
A light-green colored room that has Yellow's open book out. The zen rock garden room itself has a hidden chest with 50 Flowery Dollars behind one of the trees, and is an area where up to three Shinobeetles can be encountered. Some of Asgore's letters are wallpapered in the next room, with it leading into a platswap statue where some of Yellow's small Bullet Patterns appear. Going up and left leads to another platswap statue behind a wall of Asgore's notes. After breaking the wall, some of the notes can be read.
If the notes at the shoji door hall have yet to be read, Ralsei parses them as mentioning a Dark World from a long time ago.
If the notes at the shoji door hall have already been read, Ralsei parses them as mentioning that a BlackShard was left at that older Dark World, and that it matched with BlackShards found at the computer lab and presumably one or more other locations.[1] Ralsei and Susie's dialogue is altered slightly based on if the BlackShard had been obtained in a Chapter 3 Completion FILE.

Both of these Delta Rune doors are locked, though a SAVE point is near them.
Continuing west is another platswap statue, and the party can find the larger gun Bullet Pattern that guards Blue's flowers and the YellowKey. Returning to the area leads to Yellow waiting in front of the yellow door. The BlueString evidence can be found by returning to the west room.
Also known as, "THE WAY THAT PUNISHES YOU (BAD WAY)".
Past the yellow gate is a sandy lake room, with a sign on the front that causes Susie to suggest collecting evidence.[2] Both Susie and Ralsei are guiltridden and do not smile in this room.
West has two quicksand pits, where two Shinobeetles appear and plead for help similar to Ralsei in Chapter 3's Desert Board. The YellowShred can be found in front of the nearby fire pit.
Up north is a Sheary distressed over stolen scissors, and a Shi that can be encountered. Nearby is BootOil next to a clothesline for Yellow's boots.
East of Asgore's pink hot sand bath, Floradinn expresses disappointment over Green unfulfilling a snack delivery, and can reference one of Lancer's lines when he is in the inventory. South is a check spark that causes Aqua to offer the Scissors evidence from the lake. A Kawkaw that can be encountered hides underneath the Shi hat, with another locked yellow Delta Rune door near it.
Southeast part of the room leads to Kris wearing one of Yellow's hats, which was a marker for Yellow's bury space. After the cutscene, the yellow Delta Rune door is unlocked by Yellow, and Kris can briefly inspect the drifting Yellow hat similar to K. Round's crown. After visiting the Last Stage, RedSplatter can be collected from Yellow's bury space.
Also known as, "ALL PUNISHMENTS WORSE THAN BURYING".
Aqua and Seth can be found in the front of the room, with Seth explaining that the rooms are under renovation before they leave to find Yellow. The sign states it is "Yellow's finest hour", with the PerpBook in the middle, a plan for the tracks, and a set of tracks on its right.
Going east after activating the platswap statue leads to two areas filled with yellow bounce flowers, with the northern set leading to a pink bell.
West leads to a platswap statue, and is a varied blue flower bounce segment that goes northwest. In the first upper area, Yellow can be found bouncing in an unreachable room, where duplicates of his hat are damaging objects. Nearby are more bounce flowers, which involves destroying blue roses and timing Kris's attacks to ascend and dodge a knife Bullet Pattern. It leads to Yellow laying on top of some tracks in an unreachable room, with the next segment having a blue wardrobe at its base. Sets of knives cover the northern path, which can require Kris to be drifting left or right after hitting a bounce flower.
After ascending, Yellow can be found tied to a bounce flower, thanks to Aqua's help. He tries to use the "Hyper Punishment Gun" to punish himself in 120 seconds. As this occurs, Aqua sends knife Bullet Patterns, and Yellow eventually tries to jump around. After the gun is damaged, the party can check out the Jail slide, which Susie and Ralsei can comment on if Kris repeatedly jumps in front of it. Nearby the jail slide is a platswap statue.
After visiting the Left Stage, the party can explore the upper path Yellow was on via Blue's clouds, while Blue investigates. The TrainPlan can then be collected.
Blue's Room consists of two Shearies and a "smashed" Floradinn waiting for Blue's show. A SAVE point appears after Blue leaves the stage. A shortcut door is situated on the far-left of the stage. Upon returning to this area, Yellow and Blue appear wearing butterfly wings and can be talked to.
Also known as, "THE FRIENDLY GOOD WAY", is a split room that is partially outside of Flower Castle.
South is a staircase that has a platswap statue, which leads to a dodging segment where all of the Shinobeetle shurikens must be avoided to collect the pink bell on the far-left, which also has one blue bounce flower.
North leads to the jail cells, where Blue coaxes Yellow to leave the cell. While they converse, the party tries to sneak by, and instead Blue and Yellow begin an encounter.

The Left End SAVE point is in the large onsen room. Kris can choose to spend time with either Susie or Ralsei. Ralsei initially tries to dissuade Kris from closing their eyes to think about Susie, but immediately lets them have a choice. The cutscenes end with the unchosen party member arriving to end the cutscene.
With Susie, Kris goes west and observes her listening to Blue's flower advice. After he leaves, she spots them and tosses the flower before running off embarrassed. Kris follows up and sits with her, and can respond to her reflecting about her feelings for Noelle, occasionally with a different tone that reflects their opinion. Ralsei returns with a towel on his head, and the party reunites. Alternatively, if the Chapter 5 Weird Route was aborted, Susie can instead recall that Kris and Noelle had conversed alone in Noelle's House.
With Ralsei, Flowery appears upside-down and wrapped in vines. He questions Ralsei wanting to seal the Dark Fountain before Ralsei pushes him away. Afterwards, Kris and Ralsei can relax in the east onsen, where Ralsei can discuss how he entrusts Kris regardless of their choices. Choosing to not enter, relax, or at the end, Susie runs in and cannonballs into the onsen, and asks for Kris's rating of her cannonball.
Kris can try to climb up the "stairs" on the sides of the eastern onsen, though they are not actually stairs, causing Susie to be amused.
- While riding the toy train, Ralsei will say "I chu-chu-choose you, Susie!". This serves to a reference to both a common phrase in the Pokémon series, "I choose you!", and to the Simpsons episode I Love Lisa, where Ralph Wiggum is given a Valentine's Day card with a train and the same text as the quote, sans a name.
