'Sans
'Sans is a grocery store located in central Hometown, east of the central road and west of Sans's house. Sans runs the grocery store during operation hours despite claiming to only be a janitor. The exterior resembles Undertale's Grillby's, but with "GRILLBY" scratched out. The final apostrophe and remaining "S" starts the poorly-scribbled name, "'Sans".
'Sans can only be entered in Chapter 2. In other Chapters, the building is either locked or blocked by Sans, so it cannot be entered.
In Chapter 1, Sans blocks the entrance to the grocery store, and it cannot be entered. Kris can interact with Sans, which transfers to Chapter 2 via Completion FILE. Kris can inquire about the store, or friends, which range from Kris themselves, Toriel, and Alphys, or no one.
In Chapter 2, the grocery store is unlocked and can be entered. Kris can interact with Sans to inquire about his job, purchasing items, or about seeing his brother. If Kris has the Box of Heart Candy, they can "Use" it in front of Sans to get a 5-dollar refund.
Inspecting objects in the store occasionally causes Susie and Sans to respond as well. If Kris has found an Egg in Cyber City, they can put it in the egg basket. Kris can also interact with Tall Diamond Boy and Milk Looker. Tall Diamond Boy claims to have seen a "hoofed girl" (presumably Noelle) examining the freezer, and Milk Looker expresses annoyance at Kris's family interrupting them as they examine the milk jugs.

Going to the far left of the shop, then to the right causes Kris and Susie to overhear Toriel, Sans, and Asgore's conversation. Toriel returned to retrieve the eggs she purchased and exchanges egg jokes with Sans. Asgore interjects with his own egg joke, causing Toriel to grow uncomfortable. Just before she leaves, Asgore asks about Asriel, and Toriel promises to discuss the matter together at another time. Asgore then requests free pickles from Sans and asks him for advice about repairing his relationship with Toriel.
In Chapter 4, the building is "OPEN", but Sans is standing in front of the door, so it cannot be entered. Complaining to Sans about the sign repeatedly causes him to change it, first to "CLOPEN", which is a set theory term describing a set that is both open and closed (no external neighbors), and then to a "
" sign.

The interior of 'Sans consists of a long, rectangular room with a pale yellow tiled floor and cyan walls. Many items for sale are scattered throughout the room. The bottom-right corner has a basket of trash that Sans claims to be half off and a tall stack of baskets, of which the top is unreachable. The top-right corner has a rack of various snacks, and just to the left is Sans's counter, on top of which is a bell and a cash register. Sans stands behind the counter.
Just to the left of Sans's counter is a pair of fruit baskets with a tree in between them. The tree is revealed to contain useful groceries despite resembling a normal palm tree. Similarly, the basket to the left is deceptively deep. To the left of the baskets is a basket of eggs sitting on a table. Milk Looker stands to the left of the egg basket, in front of the freezer.
The bottom-left corner of the room has a magazine shelf, containing copies of "Ice-E's Pizza Pin-Ups Mangazine", car magazines, fluffy dog magazines with fur samples, and zines for Jockington fans. To the right is a shelf containing cards and chocolates. Tall Diamond Boy stands to the right of the shelves.
- In Chapter 2, Susie's dialogue[1] about mistaking jerky as a type of candy when examining the rack at the top right corner is a reference to an unused dialogue[2] in Chapter 1 when inspecting a Dark Candy tree.
