Talk:Ralsei
I don't have permission to edit but here's some info about the titles, during the Swan Ride Photos, Ralsei's title changes depending on your option:
Peace sign → "LV2 Pose Prince - Poses for photos at times."
Do not pose → "LV2 Blank Prince - Doesn't even have a photo."
Hug Ralsei → "LV2 Hug Prince - Receives and gives many hugs."
Ruge Gesture → "LV2 Rude Prince - Friends with a rude gesturer."
If you select Hug Prince, and then beat the Secret Boss, when Susie asks if you're okay, Ralsei will hug you if you say no.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.28.172.44 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
"Ralsei also appears to be either immune or resistant to the effects of travelling to a Dark World other than their own where other Darkners would slowly be turned into statues."
Its very likely that Ralsei being the only 'natural' inhabitant of the only 'pure' dark world, as Ralsei noted that the fountain he guards is actually a pure one -- all darkners can stay there without reprecussion, unlike attempting to transplant.. say, lancer to the library. Probably the same thing applies to Ralsei. His fountain is the pure one, and thus, Ralsei will be fine in any other dark world. This is also showable in chapter one, as when they entered the door, they left Ralsei's fountain to the unused classroom's world. This however doesnt explain how Ralsei joined the party in ch2 though.. maybe he can teleport to the entrance of other dark worlds? i dont have any ideas on that one.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.61.114.63 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
Don't have the proper permissions to edit, but I wanted to add that after talking to Lancer at the stump in the forest, you can then talk to Susie who calls Ralsei 'Eggboy'. Another name for the AKA list?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.85.208.90 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
I don't know who reverted my October edit but Ralsei is not (as of yet) a deurtagonist. That is a fan theory or fanon and nothing more until explicitly shown in the text. For Ralsei to have filled the role of deurtagonist he would have to fill the role of both protagonist and antagonist at different points of the story, as of yet he has only explicitly acted as a protagonist.—Preceding unsigned comment added by FloatingSignal (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
As far as I know, deuteragonists are basically characters that tag along with the main character where, while not having as much of a spotlight as the protagonist, their actions can affect the course of the story. They do not have to be both a supporting and opposing force of a character to be qualified as one. At least that's how my tiny brain puts it lol. Lumanator 09:37, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
That is the classical greek definition however in contemporary contexts that definition of deuteragonists has been rendered redundant by the phrase "secondary protagonist" and thus the secondary definition (narrative foil to the protagonist) has become its most common usecase. Using the traditional definition Ralsei still isn't the deurteragonist as he is the tertiary protagonist. Under that definition the one single deurteragonist would be Susie.—Preceding unsigned comment added by FloatingSignal (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
Actually, for most of Chapter 1 our only ally is Ralsei. [Furgolick10] Also Furgolick10
As far as I'm aware, Ralsei states that the legend states that TWO Heroes of Light will arrive. That'd be Kris and Susie, as they're the ones who arrive from outside. Ralsei is presumably one of the Delta Warriors, and one of the three heroes, but I don't think he's one of the Heroes of Light- there are only two of them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.246.134.200 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
- You know, it seems like it's said that basically forever. You're free to change it to "Delta Warriors" or "Heroes" or whatever fits best. [REDACTED] Also Jacky720 (t|c) 03:10, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
I haven't seen anyone document this yet. If Ralsei ends up talking using a speech bubble (not the text box at the bottom of the screen) during a fight, he will get a unique animation of him peeking out from his scarf. This is most easily observed during the Queen fight. If you tell Ralsei to defend on the first turn, you get the unique sprite of him looking over his scarf to talk, as seen below

if someone could please add this to the page in the trivia/gallery section that would be great, since I haven't seen this talked about anywhere. Thanks!—Preceding unsigned comment added by Itsdawg43 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
- As far as I know, the gallery shouldn't be a glorified sprite sheet, at least that's what the Discord tells me. Lumanator 02:51, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- All of his other battle and R-action sprites are on there too, so why not this one? It makes sense and it's pretty niche since it can really only be seen in one fight. - itsdawg43 11/14/22
please add the chapter 2 sad ralsei from the snowgrave route when waiting for suise—Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.27.227.154 (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
add the sprite from the part where ralsei becomes a stool when kris is doing that arcade thing with queen —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pepporoni (talk • contribs) (please sign your comments using ~~~~)
- I don't think it adds much value to the gallery. -- Cube-shaped garbage can 15:13, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
Unresolved Appearance: Did the section about Ralsei looking similar to Asriel get removed (or was it never there at all)? This seems to focus more so on his in-game appearance, but I couldn't find this information anywhere else, and it's worth mentioning what Asgore said about him. Just asking in case it's being kept out of the article on purpose Mabiee (talk) 15:36, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
Resolved Pronouns incorrectly source it to Chapter 4 instead of Chapter 5 ~2026-248594 (unregistered) (talk) 07:02, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
- Fixed, thanks! — Link [ T | C ] 07:07, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
Resolved This has probably been reported already but just to be sure. Ralsei is missing his serious fallen/downed sprite during the Flowery fight. ~2026-532670 (unregistered) (talk) 11:41, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
- The sprite is now in Ralsei's gallery, thanks for bringing it up! — Link [ T | C ] 16:50, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
Unresolved There's been some discussion about Ralsei's pronouns for Chapter 5. Linking for convenience and as conversation reference: https://undertale.wiki/d/t/about-ralseis-pronouns/5774 — Link [ T | C ] 19:25, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
Unresolved Princess should be added to the AKA. I don't know why people are fighting so hard against this. Thatdetectivekirigiri (talk) 18:26, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- What exactly is your feedback on why it should be added? I'm curious largely because it's good to see other reasons for this topic. — Link [ T | C ] 18:46, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
Resolved Ralsei is not refered to with they/them only once. At the end of the Dark World, when selecting the Ralsei option when speaking with Asgore, he says "(It's strange. At a glance, they look a bit like Asriel...) (But, the longer you look...) (The harder it is to tell if they're a monster at all.)"
You can see the lines in game at this link: https://youtu.be/1eLze2wH-3s?si=DSN9lc5F3p0lMV0E&t=196100 . ~2026-451349 (unregistered) (talk) 00:05, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- Resolving as the citation has been specified to the Title, there's been instances where people use they/them in the context of not knowing a person, like Undyne did for Alphys in Chapter 1. — Link [ T | C ] 01:28, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
Resolved Ralsei is referred to as they exactly twice, not once. Although the one one saying it is a character who at the time was explicitly not aware of anything about Ralsei (Asgore) so this may be nothing. ~2026-652981 (unregistered) (talk) 01:18, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

Resolved Why is this page still misgendering them? ~2026-302649 (unregistered) (talk) 15:28, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- Could you elaborate? KockaAdmiralac (talk) 15:41, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
- Sometimes there's vandals who change the pronouns to incorrect ones, and sometimes good-faith users just make a mistake. I don't think there are any errant misuses of pronouns on Ralsei's page at the moment. If you see a vandalism or a mistake, feel free to point out the specific section, the page is so big, it can be difficult to locate it like Where's Waldo. HylianAngel (talk) 04:31, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
Unresolved Isn’t Ralsei also called Princess by Flowery? Regarding the “also known as” section, like with “THE PRINCE” and “Peachboy” ~2026-436095 (unregistered) (talk) 17:26, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
Resolved I've seen a lot of posts on Tumblr making fun of the wiki for the ralsei pronouns. https://www.tumblr.com/chrisberi2/821340812936986624/put-that-on-your-little-wiki?source=share I'd like to say that the way you have it right now seems good to me and the best way of approaching the problem Soggy-cat (talk) 22:13, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- To my knowledge it's gonna stay that way, we don't need to worry about them. Shadow (talk) 08:40, 11 July 2026 (UTC)
Resolved It should be specified that Ralsei’s relationship with Flowery only exists in the Normal Route, as in the Weird Route they presumably never meet. ~2026-652981 (unregistered) (talk) 23:43, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
- Each relationships section has its own Weird Route section if applicable, so assume that if there isn't one, there isn't a notable change in relationship on the Weird Route. Thanks for suggesting it though! Shadow (talk) 15:09, 14 July 2026 (UTC)
