Japanese Shadow Mantle Holder Dialogue

Hello! Would you be able to add the findings re. the resemblance of SMH's speech patterns to Gaster and Chara's from this post (https://duxarcana.tumblr.com/post/789793468202549248) to the Speech Pattern/Trivia sections on the SMH's page, whichever one would be more appropriate for that? I don't know Japanese at all, so I can't really compare the two scripts and phrase the additions in a way that'd make sense. Your help with this would be massively appreciated. Hey sorry, it took me a while to actually get around to this. The Shadow Mantle Holder page pretty much already said the relevant part (that it uses kanji and kana, whereas everyone else in the Original Game and Legend of Tenna just use kana), although I did reword that section a bit. Re: "Recruits" vs. "Recruit"

are you arguing for just the way it's referred to on the page, or do you want the page to be moved back to "Recruits"? EvieMaybe (talk) 13:53, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

I guess my thoughts are that if the page is about the game mechanic ("Recruits is a game mechanic"), it should be titled "Recruits". If the page is about the enemies that you recruit ("Recruits are enemies that have decided to join the party in Castle Town"), then it should be singular. it's kind of about both? i personally gunned for moving it to "Recruit" since it lets us use it as a verb without needing to pipe (example: "recruiting"). EvieMaybe (talk) 19:37, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
