SnowGrave
Kris, when I cast "Snowgrave..."
I...
I felt stronger than I have in my entire life.Noelle, Weird Route, Chapter 5
SnowGrave (JP: スノーグレイブ) is a spell in Deltarune, usable by Noelle. It can only be unlocked when fighting Berdly on the Weird Route. By default, it costs 200% TP, making it unusable, but the ThornRing halves the cost of ice spells when equipped, reducing the cost to 100% TP. It is a spell that deals overwhelming damage to all enemies when used.
When used on an enemy other than Berdly, it uses a special animation of the enemy disintegrating into sliced red pieces. This animation cannot be fully seen in Chapter 2 without glitches, and has existed in the game files since the original release of Chapter 1.[1] (Outside of SnowGrave, when defeating a Pipis, a variant of the animation is seen without the red tint. When defeating a Titan Spawn, the animation is fully seen for the first time outside of glitches.)

SnowGrave becomes available on the Weird Route during the battle against Berdly. Upon noticing the party and realizing something is wrong with Noelle,[2] Berdly engages them in an encounter.
In order to use SnowGrave, the ThornRing must be equipped, as it reduces its normally unattainable TP cost of 200% to 100%. When attempting to use it, Noelle repeatedly refuses the player's command to use the spell, claiming to be unaware of it,[3] and growing increasingly frustrated with each command.[4] When she uses it, she freezes Berdly solid. Noelle does not recall what happened[5] and leaves the party shortly afterwards.
If the Weird Route is aborted by defeating Berdly with standard attacks or IceShock, Noelle keeps the SnowGrave spell. This allows the player to view its out-of-battle description but it cannot be cast, as there are no enemies past Berdly that are encountered with Noelle in the party. The only way to cast SnowGrave on any enemy besides Berdly is to use a glitch to obtain the Thorn Ring before entering Cyber City. This makes it possible to get to Berdly without freezing all enemies, unlock SnowGrave, abort the route, and cast it on still-unfrozen enemies located between the FreezeRing and Berdly. Defeating enemies in this way triggers a special animation.
SnowGrave deals damage using the following formula:
- Berdly frozen by SnowGrave
- SnowGrave being used on two Maice
| Game edition | Version tag | Changes |
|---|---|---|
| Chapter 1&2 Demo | v1.05 | Noelle no longer keeps the SnowGrave spell if Berdly is spared. |
| Chapter 1&2 Demo | v1.12 | The glitch where Cyber City's cheese maze respawns after aborting the Weird Route has been fixed, meaning that a much more difficult glitch is required to cast SnowGrave on normal enemies. |
