Spamton NEO, Chapter 2

BIG SHOT is the 39th track of the DELTARUNE Chapter 2 OST. It plays during the battle against Spamton NEO.

Vocals

The vocals featured in the track are largely unintelligible, though the lyrics from NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A are audible and frequently repeated throughout. During the section with THE WORLD REVOLVING and Battle Against a True Hero leitmotifs, several more voice lines play, but barely audible and with highly disputed lyrics. The phrase "It pulls the strings and makes them ring" may likely be one of those voice lines, as it appears as flavor text during the Spamton NEO fight.

Trivia

The "WOW!" sample used in the track and NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A comes from MOTHER 2 / EarthBound, played after the player has finishing naming their party.
This track is one of five tracks that are labeled as work-in-progress in the filename, despite being the final, in-game, version of the track. The other four tracks to share this distinction are Gingerbread House, Dark Sanctuary, Rakuichi Buster, and Petal Dance.
BIG SHOT is slightly different on the release of the DELTARUNE Chapter 2 OST than it is in-game. In-game, the muffled vocals that play during the section with THE WORLD REVOLVING's leitmotif partially return for the Dummy! sample at the end of the song before it loops, though they are higher-pitched and chopped up. In the version included on the OST, there are no vocals in this section.
BIG SHOT's title is localized in Japanese as [[BIG]]の力 ([[BIG]] no chikara), which translates back into English as "Power of [[BIG]]". This references Power of "NEO", which is localized into Japanese as "NEO"の力 ("NEO" no chikara).
The Talking Spamton Plush sold on Fangamer repeats one of five vocal samples featured in BIG SHOT when its voice box is activated.
Originally, the boss battle was meant to play Power of SPAMTON (an extended mix of Power of "NEO" from Undertale but with Spamton's leitmotifs) but was scrapped in favor of this remix of NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A.
