A Town Called Hometown in-game speed.

I saw that you changed the trivia about the speed the song plays in game, but if you compare how it sounds in Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, there's an audible difference, and I slowed down the file itself to 97% and compared it to how it plays in Chapter 2 and it's definitely not the same. Same thing applies to You Can Always Come Home Rudeth Bustereth at Thee (talk) 17:02, 27 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I went through the code today and made this edit to A Town Called Hometown. To the best of my knowledge, it's meant to always play at 97% speed, which is what's set in gml_Object_obj_musicer_town_Create_0 in both Ch1 and Ch2. However, the cutscene that plays when leaving the library after leaving the Cyber World plays A Town Called Hometown at full speed (code:ch2/gml_Object_obj_ch2_scene29_Step_0#L63), which doesn't reset until something overrides the song. Compare how it sounds at 3:59:44 of this video (right after leaving the Library) to how it sounds at 4:03:12 (after revisiting Castle Town). Cod10129 (talk) 00:07, 8 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
