Talk:Weird Route/Chapter 4
If you head towards the Lake Path after having done the weird route, the Striped Bird NPC will be present waiting on top of the circle Kris can wait at to speak to Onion in chapter 1/2, and will have this dialogue when interacted with:
Interaction 1: "Don't wait, don't wait."
Interaction 2: "Especially, the don't"
Interaction 3 and onwards: "Wait, don't. Wait... don't!!!" - It repeats this last dialogue after Gremblo (talk) 01:49, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- The interaction is mentioned at Striped Bird, but I'm pretty sure it's unrelated to the Weird Route. HylianAngel (talk) 01:55, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- Oh neat I only found this interaction at this point lol, thanks for telling me Gremblo (talk) 01:57, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
After the point where the weird route is aborted, there's still mentions and changes to the normal route that are currently not noted on the wiki. In Dess' room, while talking to Susie, Noelle again mentions how Kris was acting weird in the Dark World and how it felt kind of like a video game. I don't know what else might be changed? The wiki states:
"Following the Dark Sanctuary, Kris can inspect the piano keyboard in the church's storage room. After Susie tells her story, selecting "I'll play again someday" makes her question why Kris "sound[s] so mad", while selecting "I'll never play again" causes Kris to bite their hand, taking 1 HP of damage, unless they only have 1 HP remaining."
However, I believe this is a misconception. This video shows that no damage is taken during this scene. In addition, I took a look at the code for this scene here, and there doesn't seem to be anything that sets Kris's HP. For reference, the line "global.lhp = 10;" is called after the trash can scene, but there's nothing of the sort here. I can try verify this for myself sometime in the future. - UPDATE: I got the chance to test this for myself and did not take damage. Video here. EmilyEmmi (talk) 19:00, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
