April 2012 is the 27th track of the DELTARUNE Chapter 1 OST. It plays in Clover's room at Card Castle.
The track was first shared on the MS Paint Adventures forums in 2012 under the name lamedemoscene.[1] Later, a slowed-down version of this track appeared as a placeholder song for a Homestuck-related project in October 2012, where it was labeled demoscene. This was the same project that contained muscles, which would be reused as sans.
The track's title may be a reference to the date that Toby Fox first saw Kanotynes's playing card designs, which would inspire him to create Deltarune.[2][3]

In 2012 I saw her designs for some playing-card inspired characters on tumblr and decided I wanted to make a game featuring them. It didn't end up going anywhere, but the idea of "I want to make an RPG" stuck with me.
